Fiance visa and divorce declaration

Say 2 people are still legally married and they want to apply for the fiance visa, how far along does the divorce have to be in order for the application to be successful?

Again saying she was married and telling the truth (in one way) was the advice given to her by the company she used. They had told her that nothing needed to be said about me because she wasn't going for anything other than a student visa and they (probably like others) told her that the application...

Just found out it was refused. Can anyone help? We're dying!

The reasons for refusal: You were recently refused entry clearance as a student. The Entry Clearance Officer was not satisfied that you genuinely wanted to study or that you were accepted onto a course, because you had missed the start date. You have sought to address the reasons for your refusal in...

Passport collection vfs website

Hi, Just checked on a visa application status for a friend of mine and it says Your passport is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same 09 Apr 2008. They haven't called or emailed her so just wondering whether th...

New visa laws from April 1st

The new uk visa law and about lies. Does that mean people who have lied at all in the past get an automatic 10 year ban or just people who lie after 1st April? For example to do with previous application history.

I just read about the whole new visa ban thing. The fact is that here we are admitting that the company she was using tried to help her and in such a way lied. But is she going to get an automatic ban now for 10 years? I'm getting a bit worried reading about that!

Thanks Jei2. Really appreciate it. Hopefully she doesn't have to wait around in Beijing forever for an interview.

Based on your advice jei2 I hope the letter is better now by taking out some irrelevant points and instead addressed the important issues. So just wondering if this letter makes more sense? Also would it be better (more personal) to write it out by hand (maybe they couldn't read it though)? Don't kn...

thanks for the swift response. I realised that my letter was slightly too long. So I cut it down to just the main points. The daughter isn't at school. She is 5 years old but schools in Mongolia aren't mandatory until the age of 7! She can't be left with relatives because her mother works, her paren...

What are the chances?

Hi I've posted a few posts explaining my situation before. I'm now in Beijing applying for a visitor's visa for my Mongolian girlfriend who is also here with me. I realise it's a long post but maybe someone will read it ;) Ok first I'll post my supporting letter: Dear Sir, I am writing to give suppo...

Switching type of visa application

Hi, If someone fails on a student visa how hard would it be to bring them in for a visit providing they have enough money and accommodation provided?

And for a fiance visa is that an easier way of bringing her in? I mean she's already been refused once. We're close in age with me being 27 and her 23. Also she has a 5 year old daughter so what implications does that have on getting the visa? Been together for 7 months so a bit soon to get married....

A conundrum because of what to do next not because of the reason. We decided not to mention anything to do with me because I had heard that this would give them more reason to be doubtful that she would return. We wanted to do it the right way so that she'd be seen as a genuine student. So you think...

Visa refusal conundrum

Hi all, I was wondering if I could get advice on here because I seem to be at a loss of the best way to turn. I met my Mongolian girlfriend whilst working in Singapore back in July 2007 and I decided to leave Singapore in November. We were living together for a while in Singapore but I don't have an...
