Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Does the congrats email not come with a tracking number anymore? It says it’s been posted to me on the email and I recall in the last people talking about getting a tracking number. The congrats email told me the certificate had been posted too, but there was no mention of a tracking number, althou...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi all, Asking for a friend whose Grandparent was born in Northern Ireland. I believe they can apply for Irish Citizenship through the FBR - isn't that correct? The rules state "born on the island of Ireland"... Thanks - John Yes that is correct And I can confirm that Rxp2023's response i...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

My application was sent and received in early October 2022, it seems I may need to move to a different address from the one used on all the application documentation. How is a change of address likely to affect the address confirmation email ? Is it going to invalidate the whole application ? Movin...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I've managed to restore the spreadsheet using the last version I could confirm was right (31 January 15:40), and then going back over the updates since then on the forum I've managed to complete the blanks. It looks correct now, but I can't be absolutely sure. And if anyone has updated the spreadsh...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

BTW, the notes column in the spreadsheet is out of sync again. I suspect someone manually sorted the data without selecting that column and now the notes don't go with the correct username anymore. I don't think this is something I can fix. It was worse than just the notes column, the address check...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I've been on leave for a week with little to do but wonder what is happening to my application after my address check on 16th Jan. It doesn't seem uncommon to hear nothing for a few weeks based on recent postings and the variation on the spreadsheet, but it is making me wonder what is taking the tim...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Did they ask for extra doc's with the confirmation of address email? They did for me. Then radio silence. Then email confirming the doucuments were acceptable and another address confirmation. Then radio silence. I got my address confirmation a week ago and they never actually told me if the...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Today's the day! I'm officially Irish! What a fantastic feeling! To those feeling anxious about the wait between the address confirmation email and congrats, try not to worry. I think radio silence tends to be a good thing - it seems if there are issues they'll contact you directly. Final update: A...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Today, my two children received their emails asking for address confirmations. They mailed shared documents for their two applications in one envelope. No guarantee of successful application is promised for either one; do they always say that? Applications submitted online: 04 Jan 2022 Docs receive...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Okay, I've gone back through the last several pages of this thread and updated my copy of the spreadsheet with the available information from after 26 Oct 2022. Any info from lurkers or that wasn't posted here has been lost. Apart from that though, I think the sheet is in pretty good shape. Y...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

They create unnecessary bureacracy (e.g. updated photos) for no reason I'm sure you're aware that child's appearance can change a lot in two years. You're may be unaware that the photo becomes part of your FBR cert. So that's why they're asking for updated photos. I wish I'd known this before I app...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi, does anyone know what has happened to the (almighty) spreadsheet? I'm getting a message to say it has been deleted. It was there early yesterday  I know it didn't come with the obligatory 20 page data protection statement, but it would be really sad if we've had to remove it, it was such a ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Wait, if they are only processing approximately 400 applications per week but are receiving about 2.5K applications per month, does that mean that the FBR waiting time is getting longer ? Does that mean that each week the processing time for future applicants increases? It probably did in recent mo...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hello First time poster, but to say I've been obsessed with this forum and the spreadsheet since applying is an understatement. I'm checking several times a day and my (Irish) wife thinks I'm nuts. Online Application: 15 Jan 2022 Docs Received: 27 Jan 2022 The progress being reported here is really ...
