Given that, based upon what you have posted, you have not done anything wrong, it follows that it cannot possibly have an impact upon any application made by you. When you hear again from HMRC I suspect they will say something like ... if you want the cigarettes it will cost you £x, and if they do...

Hi Friends, I've searched this forum for a clear answer or document for "Absence from the UK" before naturalisation. Most of us agree the fact that 90days in one stretch is more strict, but have different opinion about the entire term. (i) Few of us still think 180days restriction for 5ye...

Re: ILR under Long residence

Hi, I came to UK in August 2001 therefore, in August 2011 I will complete 10 years residency in UK. However, I went to USA for 11 months to complete my internship/placement (part of my university degree in UK) while I had a legal leave to remain in UK. In 2007 I changed my student visa to IGS and i...

Re: Company Reigstration = EU Residence/Work Permit?

Is it possible to live and work in any of the EU by registering a company in one particular EU country? I have researched this topic in Bulgaria and by registering a company one receives a one year res/wk permit but I do not know if it allows me to work in all of the EU. If it does not, can anyone ...

No I'm talking about living a life with false documents, is this not against the law? if it's perfectly legal and I've got it all wrong then somebody just tell me and we can just forget about this. But if it is against the law which I thought it was then how can you have a high regard for the law b...

Re: UK Citizenship and Tax Penalty, PLEASE ADVICE

The HMRC found a mistake in my self assessment form for the last 2 years (I am a PAYE). The mistake was for less than 1% of the tax that I paid in those 2 years and they fined me a penalty of 10% on the tax owed for negligence. I immediately made that payment. Now I have to apply for my UK Citizens...

Hi republique, Although I respect everyone has different opinions, I really do not agree with what you are saying. I would be horrified if I found out my Mother's age was 6 years different from what it really was and I would be equally upset if I suddenly found out she wasn't really born in England...
