You have to take photos for a PEO appointment too. They will take some more photos for the biometric card though when you are there.

1) No evidence is asked, hence I would supply none.
2) What's the question?

1) That should not have any impact on your application. I dont think it is part of the requirements. You can still mention it on your cover letter.

You don't have a choice re the extension of your Tier1 as you won't be able to apply for ILR any earlier than Jul. Therefore, the only option is delay ILR.

I have seen companies being sceptical about employing dependant visa holders in the past cause they think that the person himself/herself does not have much control on the end date/extension of their visa. In most cases, companies only issue an FTC (Fixed Term Contract) to such employees rather than...

If you are applying by post, then looking at the current wiating times, you will definitely not get a decision before you current visa expiry in which case your new visa will cover the 5 year period. If you are going for PEO, then it is a bit dicey - if you get the appointment within 30 days of your...

That's right - the questions are based on the 2007 edition. However, I did read somewhere that they are trying to remove the questions that would be completely wrong in today's context - for e.g. When is the next census - 2011 as per the book which is obviously wrong for now.

Hi yggdrasil,

Did you ever get an acknowledgement letter for your dependant's application? Has there been any progress since?

I too applied for my daughter and the application was received on 21 Nov. However, there has been no news yet, not even an acknowledgement letter. :-(

1. Yes you will be eligible if you can claim enough points.
2. there is no need for 1 year's salary if you can get the required points against salary for only a few months. Personal advise - do bring your Indian payslips even if you dont need to use them for unforeseen circumstances.
3. no idea.

Called them up but they say they cant tell me anything unless my application is more than 6 months old. They have also asked me to write a letter to the Sheffield office.

Is there anyone else who applied around 22/11/12 and has received the biometric letter?
