Re: Citizenship for a new born child in UK

Brilliant. One final request: In your case, as the child was (a) born in the UK and (b) one of the parents had ILR before the birth of the child, the child is born a British citizen and can apply for a British passport directly with (a) their British birth certificate and (b) the parent's Can you sh...

Re: Citizenship for a new born child in UK

Thanks Simon for the prompt response. I am applying for Fast Track Appointment and luckily I got one. Only Birth Certificate and ILR BRP is required, not passport ? Do they submit these documents like ILR and Passport in Fast TRack Appointments ? The reason behind this question in my passport is abo...

Re: Citizenship for a new born child in UK

Hello,

Hope everyone here is doing great. A qq, few people I know have confused me saying that I need MN1 before applying for child's passport. Is this correct?

One of the parent had ILR before the child was born in UK.

Thanks

Citizenship for a new born child in UK

Hello, I have a question regarding what would be the citizenship for a newborn child in UK. I have ILR but my partner is still on Dependent visa(from my early Skilled Worker visa). She would be eligible for ILR in 2026. What would be the citizenship of our newborn child ? Appreciate your response he...

Re: Absence Letter for Remote/Annual Leaves

Thanks for your reply.

It is advisable to keep the BRP in the future as that will be the only proof of your child having an entitlement to British citizenship. -- Do you mean the BRP for ILR ?

Can you also advise on 2nd point ?

Re: Absence Letter for Remote/Annual Leaves

Hi @Zimba, I have two questions: 1) I am expecting a child soon. I recently got my ILR(around a month back), but my partner is still on Skilled Worker Dependent Visa. What will be immigration status for my child. The child is going to be born in UK. 2) My partner(on Skilled Worker Dependent Visa) is...

Hi Zimba. A qq, we have to return my old BRp after gettinh the new one on ILR. Can I submit it directly at Lunar House Croydon instead of sending by Royal Mail ? Re: Absence Letter for Remote/Annual Leaves

Thanks @Zimba.

One final ques - I received my BRP today and the expiry mentioned on it is 31-12-2024. I think there is a new digital system coming out which will replace BRP's. Is that correct or do I need to do anything on this front ?

As always, thank you for your help.

Re: Absence Letter for Remote/Annual Leaves

Ok. One final ques (hopefully), in list of absences I forgot to mention the time between my first T2G application approve date and entry into the UK (around 6 days) but I have mentioned that in cover letter. Would this cause any issue.

Appreciate the help and patience @Zimba

Re: Waiting for ILR

Yeah, what I have learnt from the process is that the application can take longer and Priority/Super Priority means that the application will be given preference at every stage. So, what I have learnt is to stay calm and wait. I don't think we can do anything more, but, given the huge amount of fees...

Re: Absence Letter for Remote/Annual Leaves

Hello @Zimba, One more (maybe final ques), I applied for ILR and used Priority Service. My UKVCAS biometric was done on 10th Aug 9:00 am. I have not received any notification from UKVI yet. Since it's more than 5 days, would this application be eligible for refund for Priority service. If yes, then ...

Re: Absence Letter for Remote/Annual Leaves

Thanks for the response Zimba.

So, can I just provide payslips for the months I have been out of UK or what do you advise given the leaves mentioned above.

Also, I think I am within 180 days limit. Does the above absences seems problematic to you ?

Thanks

Re: Absence Letter for Remote/Annual Leaves

Hi Gurus - @Zimba/@vinny/@CR001, Would there be any harm if I provide all of my salary slips and bank statement for past 5 years with my ILR application as an evidence for my absences mentioned below. The reason I am providing them is I have been out of UK 8 times: Details: 1) 3 Mar 2018 - 8 Apr 201...
