we went in the morning around 9.30 to take the token for surrendering passport. then we received the surrender certificate 4 days later. hope that helps.

The surrender fee is now 14£ as we found out just last week for my son's surrender certificate.
Unfortunately my husband and i paid 103£ each in May! Oh well, it is the high commission of india so you cant expect them to return the loot that they have taken from so many people..daylight robbers

ILR success at PEO Croydon - thanks for all the help

Hi,
My husband, son and I just got the ILR stamped today at the PEO Croydon.
I just wanted to thank everyone for all their help and suggestions on this forum without which we would have probably not had it easy.

We just got ILR issued today. And the caseworker clearly told us that the no. of days they calculate absences on is 225 days.
I have had many business trips over the last 5 years so the caseworker definitely made sure that I had less than 225 days!!

Maternity exemption is not considered a public benefit nor is maternity pay. The complete list of public funds is available on the home office website and maternity benefits are not part of them.

I have read the consultation document that came out in Feb 2008 but it is not clear on Page 30 of this particular document what primary legislation is and what earned citizenship is?
