Re: renew the stamp while outside state

Yep once he applies for renewal, he will have that provision till a decision is made on the application. He probably will have to forward the acknowledgement email to his HR prove he applied for renewal though

Re: renew the stamp while outside state

The online portal says not to submit the application if you are outside Ireland. That being said, I haven't seen anyone getting in trouble doing so. My friend renewed his stamp 1 while he was abroad and I collected it and posted it to his home country Btw, if your friend wants to play it safe, he ca...

Re: Critical Skills - Want to quit

can I find another job soon? We don't know. Possibly. Depends on you and your skills. Will they give me 6 months period after I quit? I have not yet seen someone's permit being curtailed after they left (the only instance I've seen is when someone mistakenly canceled a CSEP, but DETE took a year to...

Re: CSEP without an underlying permission

My current permission expired 2 months back. I was in the state based on a pending EU Treaty Rights Application. The Application was rejected on Thursday and gave me 15 working days to either appeal or the file would be transferred to deportation unit. I will appeal (though nothing would change giv...

Re: CSEP without an underlying permission

If you are residing in Ireland and applying for CSEP, then yeah. Your IRP card needs to be valid at least on the day CSEP application was submitted (from what I have heard from other people's experience)

For people applying from overseas, it's not required as they are not in Ireland yet.

Also, make sure you are keeping your signed rent receipts. You can match these to your bank statements and signed lease and strengthen your application. I had a talk with the landlords son and he agreed to add me on to Bin collection bill. I will try and see if I can be added onto any main bills li...

Re: Critical Skills Employment Permit Refused - Ireland

DETE usually is quite determined to get to the bottom of everything, at least that was my feeling in the past. Not sure if they are still like that. It’s always good to be prepared. sounds good for me, but we're not DETE Thanks lads for all the help in pointing me in the right direction. My new CSE...

Re: Critical Skills Employment Permit Refused - Ireland

The job title and responsibilities are certainly good. However, your HR should be prepared to answer questions from DETE as to why the title and responsibilities are different from what they initially applied. Thanks for the info mate. I will give a heads up to my HR. BTW, they decided to file a ne...

Re: Critical Skills Employment Permit Refused - Ireland

IT system admins do not fall into critical skills list. You must be either an IT system manager or have relevant R&D related skills as part of your job roles (i.e. you need to part of a development team rather than maintaining systems alone). what do you do, what are your job responsibilities? ...
