As annoying as it is to not receive any updates/ acknowledgements, you need to be patient for now. You can chase once the application reaches the 6 months mark, chasing earlier hasn't too much use.
If your original country does not recognise dual citizenship, that passport is no longer valid I would think - it would count as cancelled. If that is the case, just cut off a corner and send evidence that your country doesn't support dual citizenship. I am afraid the HO does not place high value on...
Requirements at the time were different than they are now. There have been scandals about people faking their knowledge of English for visas, probably related to that is why now the accepted proofs of English language are either a degree taught in English and recognised by NARIC, a passport from a m...
I don't think that is possible - maybe for extenuating circumstances. Applications from abroad are known to take a lot longer. You can try to ask, but it is a possibility your son won't be able to travel for some time.
1-Does the NHS automatically and immediately know the child's BRP/visa has expired? 2-Is it illegal for the UK-born child to remain without paying the IHS until the parents get ILR? What if she prefers to pay for health care in case of illness? 3-Will this have any penalty for the child, or the par...
You can apply but while her BRP is expired your daughter won't be able to travel. Registration applications from inside the UK have a standard processing time of 6 months. You should arrange for medical coverage for your child while the application is processed.
I think ifI would ask the Magistrates Court - you can attach the sentence if you still have it, or provide the details you have if they cannot retrieve it.
Just explain what happened in the application/ Don't worry too much about not disclosing it for settled status as it is an entirely different process. Not disclosing it could amount to being secretive and trying to hide information, which, if it came to light, would definitely be a lot worse. It has...
There is no way around it I am afraid, wife needs to come back to take the oath within 3 months then return to India once she has obtained her UK passport.
We don't really know what these stand for. UKVI has their own processes and unless one is a caseworker we don't have much insight. Please note your wife's application is still under the six months standard processing time.
Has the process been published? As it is just being rolled out there isn't a lot of knowledge about it yet. Could you make a mock application and see if there are any requirements?
Have you booked a ceremony with the council? Do they offer private ceremonies? If your timing would be too tight to get your UK passport, you could try to travel back visa free with your NZ passport, get an ETA, and bring your citizenship certificate with you - as a UK citizen you can't be refused e...
Hello, I have a couple of outstanding questions in the thread above, so just consolidating and sharing the questions again for simplicity: 1. Re: the question ""Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013?&q...
It doesn't matter too much - explain in a cover note and attach the degree certificate. What matters is you can prove you satisfy the English language requirement.
Thank you for your reply. Her nationality at birth was different, she held a Russian passport. She has not been stripped of her Israeli nationality, but the embassy is (probably illegally) refusing to renew her passport since she has no plans to visit Israel in the coming future. She can obtain a R...
Many thinks for AN application, apart from the below 2 Referrals, Passports, BRP, Spouse British passport, Marriage certificate, 3 yrs proof of living & English language Other documents ( spouse payslips, , kids passports/brps , Life in UK test) Only life in the UK test URN needed. Not the docu...
It is hard to answer the question - we know that they expect to receive a complaint review in order to look at the case. Hard to know if there is anything that would make them deviate from their process. You could also try to escalate your case to the new Under-Secretary of State for Migration and C...
Thanks a lot for quick reply, 1. Is applying for the child citizenship now will not be contradicted with my answering to the question "Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?" 2. Could you please tell what the difference between Registered vs is naturalized. 3. If a...
Dear all, I am applying for British citizenship and in the application form, there is a question like that "Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English?" When I came to the UK first time with Tier-4 student visa, my coll...
