Parents got OCI - Can I get OCI too? (British Ctzn)

Hi

Last year my parents go OCI, it was a long process.

Can I now get OCI based on the fact my parents have OCI?

PS - My father doesn't have a birth certificate, and my mother was not born in India.

No offense but that sounds rediculous. Surely your consultant has better things to do than send you on a goose chase for no benefit and in my view makes your letter look like it's been written by a 14 year old.

malathi,

Definately read the book. The exam is a joke because it is very easy, however, if you don't read the book you won't pass.

In any case it's very very easy to pass and I will be surprised if you don't finish the exam in 10 minutes.

I just got in touch via telephone and currently ukba are booking up to May 31st. I will need to wait a couple weeks until my date range becomes available.

I guess I was a bit too eager.

Hi, I am having a similar issue to Mike100. I would like to book an appointment on the week of 17/06/2010. I checked the UKBA website every day for the past 2 weeks and today for the first time I saw an entry to select the week of 17/06/2010 (my preferred date) however, the 'no appointments availabl...

Spouse visa rejected, Fiancee visa instead.

Hi, My wife and I were married in Punjab, India over 2 years ago. A few months ago we decided to settle in the UK. I am a UK citizen, we applied for the spouse visa and were rejected, but granted a fiancee visa instead. They said they do not recognize our "cultural" marriage certificates. ...

Thank you very much Vinny! I kept reading more and more and wondered into sections that I shouldn't have been. I do appreciate it, I have about 3 weeks to get all my documents in order.

Thanks again!
