No, she doesn't have any children. Genuine relationship and intention to marry will be fine, as will proving accomodation. As far as finance goes, I'm a bit concerned because I don't know exactly how much money I should be earning (or how much should be in my bank account) that would be sufficient i...

So despite currently holding a tourist visa, she will be able to apply for fiance visa regardless?

I'm also interested to know what criteria need to be met to give us a good chance of successfully applying for fiance visa?

Thanks for the replies,

Martin

Applying for fiancee visa.

Morning all, My girlfriend and I were recently engaged last May and have been together for over 4 years now. She is from Russia, Moscow and we see each other on and off through holidays and tourist visas. We plan to apply for a fiancee visa next February so that she can come to live here more perman...

Just a quick update on this. With regards to Tier 1 she qualifies with the points calculator. The big problem is of course the fact that a small fraction of her salary is declared. The 90% that she gets in cash doesn't even come with a payslip as I first thought. I guess my question is is there no o...

John, I have thought a lot about a marriage. In many ways it seems as though it gives us the best chance of being together. However, we both feel it would be more sensible to live together for a longer period of time first. The idea of doing it in Thailand sounds good though... I'll have to research...

Hi John, Should have made myself clearer on a few fronts. Unfortunately, we haven't lived together for such a long period, so I suppose that rules out UPV as you said. We see each other through tourist visas to our respective countries and also holidays abroad when we can. She gets pay slips ...

Advice needed please.

Good evening all, Found this forum a while ago and it seems like this is the place that can help me. Perhaps this story is all too familiar on here. I am a 23 year male born and living in the UK. I have a girlfriend from Russia, Moscow who is 25 and we have been together for nearly 3 years. Being ap...

Seems like we've got a mountain to climb.

Any success stories involving a similar situation are more than welcome for a bit of inspiration.

If it were as simple as "get rid" I wouldn't be in this situation. :) At least I know its not just my missus that has to have heating 24/7. Aside from a student visa, is there no way of getting her over here ona work visa? I'm very new and niave to all this, but I find it bizzare that with...

Hi all, Just found this forum a few hours ago, looks very useful for people in similar situations to me so thought I would ask for some advise. I'm sure you've heard loads of other cases like mine before, but anyway:  I'm from England and am currently working as a plumber living in the UK. I m...
