Re: Stamp 6 in British Passport

Stamp 6 would not be placed in a british passport anyway, as british nationals arent subject to any form of immigration restrictions in Ireland, regardless of weather they have an irish parent/grandparent or not. As I said perviously its more for irish citizens who hold security clearences in non EU...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I was wondering, when my name is in the FBR that would signify that I am a Irish citizen born in another country , correct? If so could my adult son apply for his Irish citizenship seeing he was born to me? No, your son would not be eligible for Irish citizenship since your Irish citizenship throug...

Hang on a sec....Why would, 2 - Grandparent to hypothetical child, need FBR if one parent was born on the Isle of Ireland?
Exactly what im thinking, i think she is misinterpreted the non irish born grandparent grandparent being registered as giving her some form of entitlement.

Re: Petition to Introduce more citizenship ceremonies

Hello, I have just posted a petition to request more citizenship ceremonies every year. Link is as follows: https://chng.it/JZ9pbTsDsS Please sign and forward it on to others to get it noticed by the department. Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Re: Stamp 6 in British Passport

Stamp 6 does not have any use at all. It is merely a proof that you are a dual national when you show your non-Irish passport. Most people working in the immigration sector are in favour of just getting rid of it. If your own country's immigration has border control procedures when you leave the co...

Re: Stamp 6 in British Passport

I hold both Irish and British passports. Although I live in Britain, I always travel on the Irish passport. Ive been advised by a family member in Ireland to have the stamp 6 put into the British passport given everything in the news lately, as a back up if I only have the British passport for any ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Once again --my advice is to notarize everything you can & add extra stuff too . More address & ID proof . I even sent a notarized copy of the 1911 Irish Census of my grandfather. Advice is the same for getting passport-NOTARIZE!....And to answer the most asked question for getting a passpo...
