In UK, any words of compliments such as - "You look great", "You are so good", "You are just amazing" ... please just believe 50%. It's the matter of being polite, but it might not be the matter of truth.

I would suggest you to apply the UK jobs while you are still in India and do not resign from your current job in Microsoft before getting a job.
