Re: Surrendring Indian passport

I submitted passports in Birmingham VFS on 14th August 2014 and have not received my Surrender certificates yet. Has anyone submitted their passports in Birmingham VFS after 14th August 2014 and received their Surrender Certificates? Appreciate your reply. Thanks.

The letter may say that the visa officer was not satisfied that your husband's parents will return to their country. My father's visa was rejected although I showed my bank balance whereas there was little money in my father's bank account. Appeal will take time (about 6 months). If the visa is reje...

My wife got HSMP dependant visa with the documents as listed in my earlier post. Strange thing is they asked her to fill VAF2. We had earlier called and mailed VFS regarding the forms and they confirmed that she has to use VAF10. However at the VFS, Chennai they asked her to fill VAF2 again. My HSMP...

Call up the HO number and know their current status. A recorded voice says the date up to which the applications are processed. My friend applied on Feb 18th and is yet to receive the letter. It is because of huge number of applications. Wait for some more time.

Ash, I got my visa on 02/04/08 and I would like to apply a dependant visa for my wife. Will the BDHC expect that I should have a job offer? Since I'm in India and yet to leave for UK I may not be required to have a job offer (the essence of hsmp). How much maintenance funds do they expect for the de...

You are right. BIA site says: £200 if you submit a valid HSMP approval letter with your application (this is because you have already paid for the approval letter) Any dependant applications accompanying your application form cost the same fee as your application. If your dependants are applying un...

Contact number for VFS is: 080 40084008. There are several posts saying that if you have HSMP approval letter, you can still apply for EC using VAF2 and pay 16400 INR at the VFS. The same should apply to dependent under HSMP. I'm not very sure of this. However, if you are applying for dependant Visa...

Abhishek,

I guess you can submit the payslip of August'07 and ignore the allowances that you received in UK. In that case, you will have continuous 12 months payslips.
