ash20, assuming you apply for Naturalisation soon after you have had ILR for one year .... sometime in September 2010 ... it could well be the case that you will be a British Citizen before the 3rd anniversary of your wife moving to the UK. If that is the case then your wife will be able to apply a...

That is right, yes, the earliest a joint application could be made is when they have both been in the UK at least 5 years. The earliest, not not cheapest, way of doing this is if the OP applies by himself when he has had ILR for at least one year, and then as soon as he is British, the 3-year rule ...

Re: Calculation of 5 year period

Hi Guys, I need to understand what is the start date for the calculation of 5 year period. I landed in UK on the evening of 9th September 2005. Being Friday and after business hours, I reported for work on 12th September and thus my employment contract starts from 12th September. My question is wha...

Pahini, To me you dont have to prove anything or write any cover letter. You are under 180 days and less than 90 days in on stretch .. this is a straight forward work. Cover letter for absence means u want to have case workers attention on these absences and therefore doesnt qualify for straight for...

I meant when your FLR was issued? not till what date FLR is valid?
Was it Jan 2005 or April 2005 ?

Original work permit is not required at all if you have copy or any correspondence letter from HO i suggest to keep them with u during interview

Not offending Ray's comment , personally and based on others experience case workers are more interested in your current job and will ask you about employer letter unless there is someone with tier1 without job has got ILR. Also New rules are effective from july 2011 and also if u have ILR before th...

Hi, I applied for ILR thru the Premium Service. They were unable to make a decision on the same day bcos i had a break of 3 months 8 days (total in 4 years - 160 days), 3 years ago.
