same here....i posted my application 2months ago and yet to get my approval....also when you apply with dependent it is hard to get biometric appointment....for me it took 5weeks to get a biometric appointment.....it is a joke they hold our passport for such a long time....can't help it :(

It is upto you to organize the time frame...at the moment avg extension time is around 2months but that is not guaranteed and it varies case by case.....i suggest you 1st apply entry clearance for your wife before your extension and when she is in country you can apply together for extension. Waiting time is updated in UKBA websites--> "We are currently considering applications where the applicant attended a biometric appointment on or before 17 May.", so your application should be decided soon....

U just need to enrol within 15 days. try calling their helpline number 0300 123 8895 and ask for the earliest available slot. cos my friend tried to book it online in feb and it showed dates in mid march. when he called helpline number he got it for 2nd march I did the same thing but no difference ...

don't panic, wait till they announce officially on tranisition arrangement....below link gives some indication it might not be too harsh for existing Tier1 holders....
