Re: Question on Ceremony

You can also have a private ceremony that lasts for about 15min. There is an additional cost of £54 for that but you might be able to get the date you want.

Delay in MN1 And Need To Travel - Urgent

I and my wife got ILR on 7th Nov 2013 and after that we applied for our son's registration using MN1 form on 13th Nov. I applied myself without using NCS service so had to send my original passport and ILR, son's passport, his UK Birth Certificate (born in April 2011) and his BRP (due to expire on 2...

I got my ILR approved on 7th Nov using 90 day concession rule.

I got my first Tier 1 (G) visa on 3rd Dec 2008 and came to UK on 24th Jan 2009 so had a delay off 45 days but applied on 7th Nov 2013 which is 27 days before the initial visa date and not my arrival date under the 90 day concession rule.

I got my ILR couple of days back, on 7th Nov 2013 and I used my expired IELTS (7.5 band). I did my IELTS back in 2008. But I also provided UKNARIC letter from 2008 stating that my BCS degree was equivalent to UK's BCS degree. My whole appointment lasted for 90min at Croydon and nothing additional wa...

Yes exactly. I scored 7.5 in IELTS when I first applied for Tier 1 (General) entry clearance in 2008 and subsequently ticked the 'Proved Eng Language in EC' option in my extension application. If you look at the new SET (O), section 4 (4.3), they haven't provided this 'exemption' option as they did ...

Missing Some Bank Statments

Me and my wife are going to apply for ILR on 7th Nov 2013. I was just going through the docs and noticed that my wife has 4 bank statements missing out of last 24 bank statements. They are not continuous four months. That is, one missing statement is from mar 2012, second is june 2012, aug, sept 201...

I support all your arguments but I think the reasons I have stated in my previous post, the policy seems fine. They are trying to track out of UK holidays DURING your work-related leaves so that they can add it to the ILR absence period. This seems to be a rather convoluted way to address a rather ...

I support all your arguments but I think the reasons I have stated in my previous post, the policy seems fine. They are trying to track out of UK holidays DURING your work-related leaves so that they can add it to the ILR absence period. This new policy just makes zero sense. For example: -Someone w...

Yes exactly. This is what I discussed with my friend. Evidence of all work-related absences (including paid annual leave) can be interpreted as "work-related absence from country " So, for example, you were in Pak/Ind for 5 months project and you took 2 weeks holiday so you should report t...

Re: got answer

I think what confused me was the word "work-related" as our hoildays are not work related (They are personal). It should rather be "during your work" (and not work-related) if you have take ANY holidays (including paid annual leave). Further, how can an employer give reasons of o...

Re: got answer

Did you ask about the work related or personal holidays? I don't think any paid leave comes under 'work-related' absences comment that they have given in the SET (o) form. But I guess you were right in cancelling your appointment as it is confusing statement. Sections 6.2, 6.3 from: http://www.ukba....
