As far as I can tell they are not proposing to "fix" the situation for those Canadians who lost British nationality prior to 1947 (and hence never became Canadian citizens in the first place). JAJ, I believe your are right, the statement "or where born in canada" is in a citizen...

I am researching what happans after you become an MD here. the first 2 years is in english language instruction the time leading up to clinicals is tuaght in romanian. I believe romanian language skills are requited for citizenship but of course most grads of this program are ending up in EU nations...
