Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I can confirm that a solicitor colour copied and certified copy of the FBR was accepted for passport application purposes.

I hope this helps some of you who like me are reluctant to send the original document for fear of it being lost.

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Oh no. Hope you get that sorted.

To add to the misery my witness told me today he’s working from home all this week, so when they ring his office he won’t be there. So that’s probably another week for me. Good times!

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Thanks ParsleyGreens, that is helpful. My estimated due date was 31/05/2023 (day after yours) and still in processing. I guess mine will be early next week. I’m going on holiday at the end of June and I’m very grateful I chose not to send in my passport. 😅

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Update for binky62 and anyone else applying for a passport after receiving their FBR certificate. In my posts a few pages back I said that I'd sent a notarised colour copy of my FBR certificate as it states on the application form that this is acceptable. I also submitted a notarised copy of my UK ...

Yup, they have your documents! Congrats.

You cannot infer that they might not ask for additional supporting documentation. This just confirms that they have them and will begin the process.
Thank you.

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Today my status progressed from “We are verifying your documents” to “Your application is being processed”. Can I infer from this that my documents have been accepted and will not need to submit additional documents?

If it's a photocard style driving license (like here for example - https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/ph ... -explained) - fine.
Great. I suspected so but wanted to confirm. Thank you.

Does ‘driving licence’ refer to just the card?

Hello,

Applying for passport, can I just send a certified copy of just my driving licence card? Or does it mean the full form document? Thanks.

Got my son's confirmation of address email today!
