Re: Traveling with a Certificate of Naturalization

Thank you all for the replies; it's greatly appreciated. I shared the same concern. I don't believe the Irish border police would have any issues with using the certificate, but airlines, on the other hand, could potentially pose a problem. I don't want to risk my trip, so I've decided to renew my ...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

That is obviously a rhetorical question, but I just can’t see how they will do it as previously claimed by the department if they continue to force ceremony attendance to grant citizenship. With these kind of numbers that is at least another five or six ceremonies just to tackle the backlog, not in...

Re: EUTR3 or EUTR5?

@angel99, thank you for your explanation on your points. I raised these items not out of confusion on my part but out of experience. I know of two 3 separate cases of separation, so not being a solicitor I can only suggest the forms based on cases I know of. 1st case: Married couple (married oversea...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

For all of the invitees to this ceremony: Congratulations. You all will finally, in 48h from now, be Irish citizens. You all deserve it, no matter how long or hard your journey has been. Ps. If anyone of you is willing to, could you at the ceremony ask if there are plans for more ceremonies in 2023,...

Re: EUTR3 or EUTR5?

Sorry but the advise given above is incorrect. On item C of Section 3.1 in the EUTR5 form states as a valid reason to request the retention of the EUFAM visa to be: "Divorce or annulment of marriage to the EEA national, or annulment or dissolution of civil partnership with the EEA national"...

Re: E-Vetting Invitation & E-Vetting Process

Can you confirm that E-vetting Invitation is received through email or mail? If received through email what email is used. I applied in July 2022 and nothing received yet. It should be through email (you fill your email on the naturalization application). It might be a bit too early for you - there...

Another batch of invitations sent today (I'm in it, thankfully)!

Don't forget to confirm your attendance if you got it.
Congrats meself2. Hopefully you will get the certificate before the end of the year.

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

I believe that Group A vs Group B should never have occurred in the first place. Citizenship department has repeatedly stated that they process applications in chronological order, and the fact that the new system was piloted early this year does not imply that applicants from 2023 will/should be g...

Re: Spouse relocated

If I understood correctly, you are a non-EU citizen and you have your stamp 4 because of your marriage to an Irish citizen. That being the case your legal reason to be in Ireland left with that plane last week. You should contact the department immediately and request the retention of your stamp 4, ...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

I am not saying at any point that pre-2023 shouldn't be prioritized, what I am saying is that the small 2023 group being used for the trial should be used to fill out the ceremony slots if there are any left after the selection of the pre-2023 who are ready for the ceremony. It is procedurally impos...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

It is odd that no one for the past 5 days posted here about getting the invite. So either a lot of people are getting the invite but are not participating on the forum or the Department is not sending invites.

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

What I want is for the backlog for 2021 and 2022 to be cleared before the applicants for 2023 jump ahead of the queue again. Citizenship controls this, not me. If you are one of the 2023 applicants, I wish you the best of luck and hope that you will be invited to the upcoming ceremony. However, the...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

We are all aware that how they send out invitations is a mystery, but I'm hoping this time there are no applicants from 2023. I understand wanting your approval and ceremony to arrive as soon as possible, but what I don't understand is why would you hope that others are not selected to be invited t...

Re: #Rumour alert :upcoming ceremony Oct 1/2 @ RDS Dublin?

On https://www.irishimmigration.ie/how-to-become-a-citizen/citizenship-ceremonies/ it says "Please do not contact us regarding ceremony invitations as we are not in a position to confirm invitations. You will receive an invitation to your ceremony by post before it is scheduled to occur. The ne...

Lads, I am safe to say that everyone is happy for those that have already finished their process and have now their Irish passport, but could we move this discussion around passport and documents to the appropriate discussion topics? e.g.; https://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/passport-applicati...

Re: Question regarding employment when filling eutr form

I am not a solicitor... The advise I got from my solicitor on a similar case was to put down the details as they are at the moment, because you are signing a document saying that to the best of your knowledge this is the situation at the time of signing. So it is best to put down as temporary, write...
