Re: Anyone get a replacement BRC whilst waiting on Settled Status decision?

If it is expired or expires soon - just renew it and that's it. It has no relation to your recent application for settled status (and you should ask them why it takes so long to give you the decision)

Re: Settled Status (Lounes Case)

Ther is no need for paper form because Lounes or not Lounes is not relevant as long as she has pre-Settled status. You can apply online. You do not need to send any document by post either. All the paperwork (bank statements, council tax bills etc) you can scan or take pictures of and upload online...

Settled Status (Lounes Case)

I am a dual UK/EU citizen, my wife is a non-EU and she has pre-settled status just now. She is eligible to upgrade to settled status in the end of this year (she will have 5 years from her first entry in the UK at this time). As I understand she will need to apply for status using paper form or she ...

Re: Spent more than 450 days in 5 years due to pandemic, will there be discretion?

If I was you, I would just wait a few years and then would apply. You already have Settled status and you hold EU citizenship, so I am not sure why you want to get British citizenship as soon as possible when you have too many absences just now.

Re: Travelling in and out the UK

Hi, Can an EU 8-month child travel in and out of the UK with a COA + EU Passport? The child applied to the EUSS using an EU National Identity card. Cheers In the end of 2021 I made an application for my newborn child (who was born abroad), we entered the UK by car from France and the officer asked ...

Re: Travelling back to uk with naturalisation certificate and indian passport with grace period

you can apply for a regular British passport in India Extremely not advised. It will a) take way longer than in the UK (people say 6 months - a year) and b) will cast doubts on applicant's true intentions to live in the UK (see https://www.immigrationboards.com/post1841460.html#p1841460 ). what are...

Re: Submit passport application after ceremony and leave uk

That's an issue. You can travel after the ceremony (unless your old nationality requires a visa to the UK) but after applying for a new passport your passport/s and certificate must be sent to HMPO, so it is physically not possible to travel without documents. Waiting times for me last month was aro...

Re: Entry and exit into and out of the UK for EU citizens

EU passports are not stamped but that's not a problem for naturalisation, usually applicants declare all absences in their application and HO will check their databases as well, they might not match because some entries/exits might be incomplete if a person travelled to/from the UK via Ireland or an...

Re: Switch pre settled status to settled status

That is what I said, yes. She calls and asks for a Lounes application; they'll ask her name as they have to pre-fill the name in the form for her. If it is a post form, how can we send some kind of evidences they might need? I.e. proofs of residence etc? We just need to send them copies along with ...

Switch pre settled status to settled status by post

Hi there, if I am a dual citizen and my wife in a non-EU with pre-settled status, does it mean she will have to apply for settled status by post? What if she tries to do it via app - will they refuse her in this case? We also have a child, who is an EU citizen and holds settled status - can this hel...

As for your passport you will receive a message from courier regarding delivery and options you have. Also there will be a time slot when they attempt to deliver

Re: Old BCR about to expire

It doesn't matter what your BRC shows (pre-settlement or settlement) because UK immigration officers will see your proper digital status online. If you need to travel, you will need this card (unless you are visa-free national). Also BRC/BRP cards will cease to exist in the end of next year

Pre-settled status and more absences than allowed

My wife (she is non-EU) got pre-settled status and BRC in 2019 based on marriage with me (EU citizen). She had one big absence in 2021 (a little bit less than 1 year, because of important reason - childbirth), but also she was outside the UK for around 185 days in 12 month period in 2022-23. I could...

Re: Certificate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode

Some countries dont allow dual passports- the right of abode practically gives you a UK passport? Some countries, like India, allow dual citizenship if acquired at birth, but not dual passports. And an Indian passport with a CoE-RoA is acceptable by Indian authorities. That is at least one reason w...

I have just returned from Iceland this morning, I have an EU passport, had a ceremony in the end of last month and deliberately didn't apply for a British passport, because I would have to send my current one so I would not be able to go abroad. No questions at Glasgow airport, just went through e-g...

Re: Travelling with BNO passport after Citizenship Ceremony

if your original passport is initially visa-free for the UK then no problems at all. There are problems for those who normally need a visa to enter the UK and because they don't hold any BRP's anymore it might be a problem (unless they get somehow to the UK immigration officer, it is possible i.e in...

Don't worry, just go to your appointment and the worker will submit your uploaded files by himself. You don't need to take them with you
