I can back up sushmehta's statement - I also received verbal confirmation over the phone from HO that what he has stated here is absolutely correct.

In my opinion, based on applications I have made, and people at the HO I have spoken to over the phone, I would say post every piece of evidence you have. In your case, the spelling mistake is really obvious - the difference between Karthik and Karthika is minimal and the person assessing your appli...

I applied under HSMP JR. Prior to applying, I confirmed over the phone with HO that I did not need to supply Life in the UK evidence. With my application I supplied an HSMP acceptance letter dated 22 Feb 2006, and a coverletter (amongst other things of course). My acknowledgement letter is over a mo...

I posted an ILR application under the old rules/form on 29th March. Money was taken from my credit card on the 4th of April by the Home Office. Not sure if it makes any difference, but I applied under the HSMP Judicial Review document rules (sent an HSMP acceptance letter dated 22 Feb). Im starting ...

Its not required, but if you have it on hand Id send it again.

You *will* need to send it again if you choose to use your degree as proof for the English Language speaking requirement.

Re: few questions on FLR

2. I am using the Tier 1 (general) application form, but I was entered in to the HSMP scheme before Nov 06. Is it sufficient to mention in the covering letter that I should be considered as per the old rules? Just wondering if the application will become a contentious issue as I am saying I need to...

I think its £800 - where did you get that figure from?

Most people advise you take £3000 to help you get "set up" in the UK (about the same as what I bought over), but Im pretty sure you are only "required" to have £800.

Im in the same boat, about to pay my £750. Not very happy about it, but there is nothing I can do really - the HO thinks it is a law unto itself.

HSMP is what Tier 1 used to be called before November 2006.

HSMP still gets used a lot as some people are still on HSMP visas which had slightly different criteria to the newer Tier 1.
