Immigration status after Dec 2024

My PC crashed and I lost all my bookmarks so I apologise if this question has previously been asked.
I know that immigration staus can be proven on-line within the UK. My question is how to prove immigration status at an overseas airport check-in on return to UK without a BRC after December 2024.

Immigration control at airports

I am British and my wife is Indonesian with a UK Residence Card and settled status. She travels on her Indonesian Passport. The point of the message is one of clarification. We have travelled in and out of UK through many of the UK airports. Usually on arrival at UK immigration we use the UK channel...

Re: View, Prove and Update your EU Settlement Scheme status and details

I don't know if this is the right place to post this. If not perhaps it could be redirected. My question is this. My wife and I travel to Indonesia every couple of years. On departure from Indonesia my wife has been required to produce her UK permanent residence card along with her passport. My wife...

Re: Travel to Schengen Countries

I have been unable to find a way of editing my above post. I would like to clarify my question. Husband and wife. One with British Passport the other Non-EEA with UK Permanent Residence Card endorsed "Residence Card of a Family Member of a Union Citizen". Can we travel to Spain without Sch...

Travel to Schengen Countries

Today I received my new Biometric Permanent Residence Card valid for 10 years. It is endorsed "Residence Card of a Family Member of a Union Citizen". Does this confer the same travel rights as did my 'EEA2' Residence Card endorsed "Residence Card of a Family Member of an EEA National?...

Is receipt of a biometric request letter a good sign?

Submitted EEA4 application. Fee taken and acknowledgement letter received. Today I have received a letter asking for biometrics even though this was previously done twice in Cyprus. I guess we are looking for any encouragement that it might be a successful application. To this end does anyone have a...

Re: Clarification Please

Yes, it's perfectly acceptable to use the old form or even dispense with forms altogether and write a letter - see pages 7-8 of this Home Office guidance. However it would be a good idea to print out the pay section and the biometric section of the new form, and submit those with your application. ...

Clarification Please

Hi Guys I am about to submit an EEA4 application for my wife. Before I actually go ahead I would like clarification on a couple of points. 1. As I stated elsewhere on the forum, I am not going to submit the application on the new 132 page PR form. It was my intention to submit the application by let...

Re: 137 Pages EEA application form, what for exactly

Nice one Obie. I find the form difficult to fill in in a certain circumstance. I think Surinder Singh is for worker, self-employed or student and does not cover self-sufficient, try filling in the form as self-sufficient and coming back to UK releying on O.B. Cant fill in the SS section because it ...

Re: EEA4 or EEA(PR)

I find the new form extremely intrusive and in some cases very silly. What quango dreamed up this document? Section 11 asks if my wife has met me, her sponsor. We were married more than 10 years ago in UK and all such evidence was provided when we entered UK on a Family Visit Permit 5 years ago. Alr...

EEA4 or EEA(PR)

Has anybody have experience of or know someone who has applied for EEA4/EEA(PR) - after EEA2, by letter rather then by the relevant form?

Hi Obie. My wife's ILE was issued in January 2005, before KOL was introduced. It was valid for exactly 2 years to the day, not 27 months. My understanding, gained recently, is that for an application from outside UK an expiry date must be entered and is in fact the final date by which first entry to...

My wife would like a Biometric Residence Permit so I am wondering if we should be upfront with UKBA. Explain our ignorance about the expiry date on the ILE and point out the fact that we applied for a Family Visit Visa on 3 occasions and at no time were we told that the ILE was still valid. On each ...

ALL CHANGE. LET'S START AGAIN!!

I have just found my wife's old passport and what I have discovered changes our situation I believe. My wife first entered UK in Sept 2004 on a C-Visit 6 month multi-entry visa. That was to visit my family prior to us getting married. In January 2005 (from outside UK) she was given an ILE settlement...
