Re: Approval letter

Which approval letter are you referring to? Naturalisation? They send the final decision letter through the post.

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

Not really, it’s kind of a gamble. I found the ones questioning these type of things in the Dail debates online are your best bet.

Just write up your message, email a few and see who responds.

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

We received the payment processed email on 20 December. We’re abroad so unfortunately we don’t have a TD. Any idea whom which email address we should use, to send a polite inquiry? I’ll put my husband’s application no. in the subject line. Thanks in advance! I would send one email to both of these ...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

Yikes! Now you’ve got me worried. I was under the impression that we weren’t the only ones expecting to get an invitation to the Feb ceremony but who didn’t. I know some people had their payments processed after us and yet received invitations (yourself included, no?). But I’ve been consoling mysel...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

I’m sick of the process too but I don’t see how everyone sending pre-litigation letters is going to help speed things up. When did you receive your approval letter, Kmosgirl? My husband received his in December and the payment was processed on 20 December. We were very disappointed that he didn’t r...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

So is getting a solicitor to send a pre-litigation letter the way to go? I really do not want to miss this next ceremony. I’m genuinely sick of the whole process as it is. Getting a solicitor to do that seems to be quite expensive as well. This is really a last resort in my opinion and likely only ...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

Its the documentation which is taking time here and unfortunately not all offices, departments think and behave at same level hence to satisfy employers, immigration officer gave my wi...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

My need is only renewing wife's IRP not mine. Mine isn't applicable because legaly I am citizen now AND wife's renew isn't granted by immigration officer because mine is not renewed :) :( Frustrating limbo actually just waiting for certificate. Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

I received the same canned answer again today as I did two weeks ago. This just tells me they haven’t a clue when they will be issued, let alone posted. Dear Sir/Madam, I have been advised that certificates of naturalisation from the February ceremony will issue in the coming weeks. Unfortunately i...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

The advice re a solicitor's letter was really helpful. But should the time of processing, eg, 26 months, be measured from the date they received the application by recorded post, or the date of the acknowledgement letter, which can be as much as 4 months later? In my case they received the applicat...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

Hi All, I’m just wandering if there’s still anyone awaiting cert from any of the Dec ceremony? Looks like I’m the only one without a cert at this stage. Hi, Have you got your certificate by now ? I remember you were on the same ceremony as me 19th Dec 10.30 am ? I got mine around 10 days ago. Hi, S...

Re: IRP Renewal - Huge backlog in Cork City (seeking advices and info)

Did you already apply to renew your Stamp 4 with the ISD/INIS? If so, did you receive an approval letter from them which instructed you to make the local Garda immigration officer appointment? When I went to renew my Stamp 4 last year (living outside of Dublin), they pointed back to my original appr...

Further, they are STILL issuing naturalisation certificates from the December ceremonies. I attended the one in late February and those haven't even sta...

I still stand by my original opinion that it will be similar to previous year and it will be June. Could possibly push into May since the February one was a few weeks earlier than expected.

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

Hi, I received my Naturalisation certificate on 6th March 2024, with a cover letter dated 10th February 2024 (note this is the date the Minister considers as the issue date, as mentioned in the response letter from the Minister to TD). Ceremony date 19th December 2023, at 1 pm. I applied for my pas...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Does anyone know for passport application if it is acceptable for the Garda to certify the documents (original passport) when witnessing the identification form, or is certification by a solicitor/notary public necessary? Why do you need to certify your passport? You either send an original passpor...
