Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

My partner's arrived today. December 19th, 1pm. Congrats! I remember you because we applied around the same time. I attended the same ceremony but I'm still waiting for my certificate. Hopefully I will get it soon, this is frustrating.... Thank you! I attended the 26 February ceremony, so hopefully...

Just to add some additional detail; the official letter accompanying the naturalisation certificate (which also has the certificate number) was dated 11 February and everything was posted yesterday (4 March).

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

The TD is going to get the same response from the minister as mine did, which I posted in this thread. So that means you will likely not get an answer to your specific certificate query. However, the added public pressure is always a good thing, so I say do it. It’s completely unacceptable they are ...

Re: STAMP 4EUFAM expiring, partner left country

I would suggest immediately speaking to a solicitor that is competent in immigration as your case sounds a bit complex. You certainly do not want to go through the effort of completing and submitting the wrong application, only to wait and potentially receive a rejection letter and have to complete ...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

The TD query that was made on our behalf regarding the recent naturalisation certificate delays has received an official response: In a little over two years the Citizenship Division of my Department has gone from processing around 12,000 applications a year to processing over 20,000 applications. ...

you sign your part but they don't even sign their part there. they just put it under a table to be signed later and then take the next person. so if u did take a pic it would be missing an authority signature. their circus continues on and on and on..... this feckin joke. anyways i do wish you all ...

Re: Can I apply for Naturalisation now?

Then I’d say go ahead and start the application if you’re already eligible. It’s certainly not the fastest (or most transparent) process, so you can use all the extra time available to you.

Re: Can I apply for Naturalisation now?

I didn’t see it in your post but also didn’t ask in my response; do you have a current in date IRP card? If so, just apply under that one if it’s not yet expired.

At a minimum, you will likely need the new card number as part of the application process.

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

They can't even sign the paper while you're there... amazing. I still don't understand the requirement to force people to attend these things. It's literally an 8 hour journey for me (door to door) just to attend a ~30 minute ceremony where I don't even get my certificate and they don't even sign my...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

Two months and counting since the ceremony just to receive a single, albeit very important document is completely unacceptable! I fully agree with you. Additional ceremonies are going to be held next week, which will only increase the backlog... I was positive about 45 days delivery but It's being ...

Re: First time passport question

According to the passport office DFA agent, if you're resident in Ireland and have a valid, in date Public Service Card (PSC) card with your photo on it, then you only need to send in a standard photocopy of the front and back of the card for identification purposes. You DO NOT need to have the phot...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

I personally think it's not a good idea to send them an email at this point because it will not change anything and will only create extra work for them. And there is no such thing as a "request" to be included in the upcoming ceremony as well. In all communications, they have stated not ...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

Clutching at straws here but I couldn’t help noticing that a couple of people on this thread received invitations to the December ceremonies as late as Thursday 14 December! ie just 5 days before the last ceremony on 19 December. Hope springs eternal….. One of them was my partner. The entire thing ...
