Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

The certificate printing process should be relatively faster now that the picture has been removed. Why do they ask for the photo upload if the picture has been removed? I don't believe that there is no picture on the cert. I uploaded my picture for the February ceremony and the certificate did not...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

The latest confirmation of registration emails said "Your certificate of naturalisation will be sent to you via registered post within a couple of weeks". This is possibly more reliable than words from a politician? Previous registration emails said the same and it still took 10 weeks… Ho...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

I’m with Leo. It took me years to get through the process and an additional 10 weeks to receive my certificate when it finally ended due to what I just now learned was “printing issues.” Interestingly, the applicants from the December ceremony also waited 10 weeks for theirs, and it was roughly the ...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

I find it interesting how she can now tell us the previous delays were related to “unforeseen issues with printing.” This topic came up numerous times in TD queries since the beginning of the year and this was never mentioned. Hopefully you all get them soon! (Btw, first time passport applica...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

I have a similar timeline for mine and sent the package in the day I received my naturalisation certificate on May 9th. However, they requested my original passport this past week which I sent it in same day and is now being returned to me. They also sent back my other documents and naturalisation c...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

Hi, Looking at the Declaration of Fidelity sample, I can see there Application Number field. I assume this is the same as Application Ref. , does anyone know? The number you will write on the declaration paperwork is the application number, which is the the one formatted like this: #######-CITZ-##

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

I see from the email confirming our registration for the ceremony that they say they’ll send out the certificate of naturalisation within a couple of weeks. I assume this wording is just a hangover from previous ceremonies. Or some AI hallucinating… I would not get your hopes up they will handing o...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

OK, thanks very much Sairsint. And thanks in general for coming back to support everyone long after your own citizenship-related woes were resolved. No problem at all. I know how infuriating it is with the lack of information they provide during this process and knowing this information really helps.

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

Leo, my husband got his invitation so you’re off the hook! Now. Does anyone have any idea how long the ceremony takes? Ours is at 3 pm. And we absolutely must get the train back to Dublin that same night. There’s one leaves Killarney at 17.41. Is that too tight? You should make that train time with...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

They will be sent by email and it's quite obvious so it's difficult to miss. That said, mine came in just under 2 weeks from the actual ceremony date. So unless they have figured out a way to become more efficient since February, I wouldn't expect much more than a couple weeks notice. It then took ...

I received mine this morning too. Its dated 26th Feb which means we would've been able to receive it on site that day.
Is there no picture of you on your certificate as well?

Okay so it's not just mine with no picture as they must have changed the format.

My partners from the December ceremony had their picture on it and we were asked to upload one as well.

Re: Feb 2024 Ceremony certificates?

Re: Feb 2024 Ceremony certificates?

As I was gathering evidence for them I came across this line in the ceremony invitation email we all recei...

Re: Approval letter

My theory is that they work in phases...get a certain number of applications processed up to being approved, move on to the next thing. They then get formally approved at some point...letters prepared in batches and sent out in the period before next ceremony. As far as i can see (from this forum) ...
