The CC rep said my case was essentially 'on hold' because my initial HSMP was approved August 2006 - so any extensions affected by the JC ruling were not being reviewed until ...

Haha - not ever having had a child, I can't imagine the stressful time when waiting for it to arrive.

But it can't possibly be as stressful as waiting for the home office! :D

Waiting..

Hi junior That's useful to know, thanks for putting it up there. My payment date was 8th April, so hopefully a decision will be made any day now.. Maybe it's 1-2 weeks from assignment to a caseworker? When I've called for an update they said because it's a new process, there still aren't any service...

Update

Just called again and told "no decision has been made yet". I asked them if it was to be approved does it have to go through any other processes before the stamp in the passport, but she said no - once approved it will go to the passport processing team and then to dispatch. My application...

Update

Just called HO, and whilst my case is still "under consideration / with caseworker", the guy said the cases are still being processed between 5-6 weeks on average from the date of submission... So hopefully that means that mine (and others submitted around 8th April) are only 1-2 weeks awa...
