Add job title Dr in Passport

Hi everyone, while filling out first passport application after naturalisation, there is a stage where I can insert preferred title (Doctor) In my case. They wanted proofs for this. Would only the PhD certificate work? Any extra proofs I would need to provide? Any contradiction with medical field Do...

Does Home office send any documents to home address of applicant?

1. In case naturalisation application is approved, does home office send anything to home address of the applicant? Or all by emails? I mean approval letter, request letter to book citizenship ceremony, naturalisation certificate, etc. 2. I know it's only during passport application we send naturali...

Re: Global Talent and Citizenship

Thanks for your reply. Is there a way to message/send an email to this member in this forum? We have exactly same case about the gap outside the UK without holding a visa in the UK. Meaning the 5 year qualifying period of naturalisation is lawful but not continous. I read that ILR requires continous...

Re: Global Talent and Citizenship

My case is a lot similar to @Youcef410428 As in this thread. https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/continuous-period-citizenship-application-t331222.html#p2081798 Unfortunately the thread is locked to know the outcome of his application. Would appreciate if admins could unlock it. Ma...

British citizenship

I submitted a naturalisation application three months and half ago (biometrics same day of application submission), and still haven't heard back from home office since then. In my application, I requested to exercise discretion of excess absence as it was related to work purposes, which I got suppor...

Re: Submit passport application after ceremony and leave uk

I didn't know about submitting current valid passport. I thought it's a photocopy as in naturalisation application. Thanks a lot for the clarification.

Submit passport application after ceremony and leave uk

Hi everyone, Given someone got his naturalisation application approved and attended citizenship ceremony. I am aware that ILR BRP would no longer be valid, and must be returned to HO within 5 days. If they have to travel outside the UK, can they submit first passport application and once approved an...

Re: Global Talent and Citizenship

The gap would simply be considered as part of the absence, provided you left the UK with a valid visa and then returned with a valid visa, ie not overstayed. Thanks for your answer. Just wanted to make sure you got what I mean. The first visa (Tier 4 - expired Feb 2019) and second visa (Global Tale...

Re: Global Talent and Citizenship

You said you didn’t have a visa covering the gap? Without visa and not in the UK is not residency. Refer to the five years here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-an-guidance/form-an-guidance-accessible#bookmark14 Thanks. Was wondering if this can hold in my case: third party solicito...

Re: Global Talent and Citizenship

For naturalisation you need five years of lawful residency. As for the gap you weren’t resident in the UK. It seems June 2024 is the time to apply. Note naturalisation is not under immigration rules and has it’s own separate requirements. This is the link for requirements Can you please advise wher...
