According to other posts, usually they don't return travel documents if they are expired. If they have driving licence that should do , otherwise I don't think It will be an issue as the department already have it with them and they will collect it anyway during the ceremony.

Yes it's on the invitation email, "If you are a holder of an Irish Residence Permit you will need to produce your IRP card on the day of the ceremony to provide evidence of your in-date permission. Failure to have a permission valid on the date of the ceremony will result in you being refused ...

I just got back from my IRP renewal appointment , new card will be posted 2-3 weeks. So now I'm waiting for 3 things at the same time ( new IRP card, approval , invitation) . not sure though but I think they have not started sending invitations for Dublin ceremonies yet . No, I'm stressed out I been waiting to get invitation for so long and when I do now my GNIB is another problem.. I been calling immigration they still saying I can't be invited before January, I emailed citizenship help desk and there's no reply! I also explained I can't attend without renewing it ...

I explained and requested if it can be extended and she said it doesn't work like that..and the next appointment is probably in January😭 Should I just go to the ceremony and see if they accept my GNIB or postpone it? And my travel document were they not suppose to return it back? Cuz I need to show...

As per the ' Citizenship applications update ' email:

"Around 10,000 decisions due to issue in the coming days for 2023, 2022 and older files"

Hopefully everyone waiting get a decision this week or next week

I'm not going to stress about it too much as there is no point doing that, all we can do is just wait. I was actually worried that they might have sent me the letter and it got lost with the an post or delayed ,but I email them and and they said "No correspondence has been issued to you" ....

Is it standard post or registered ? . still no letter for me (applied May 2023). There is usually delays in post delivery in my area.
