Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

I sent citizenship an email today and have been advised that invitation to the upcoming ceremonies continue to issue. My patience on this matter is appreciated. :|

I still haven't received the invitation yet. Fees was processed in early Feb and I am literally worried now :(
Dublin Ceremonies ( I think) will accommodate more applicants so hopefully you will get one
Do you think they have started sending out the invitations for Dublin ceremonies?

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

They will be sent by email and it's quite obvious so it's difficult to miss. That said, mine came in just under 2 weeks from the actual ceremony date. So unless they have figured out a way to become more efficient since February, I wouldn't expect much more than a couple weeks notice. It then took ...

You will get it by the end of this week. They are all out in the post. Most of my friends have got it and they are all scattered and attended ceremony at different times. Just give it a few more days :)

Re: Vetting: Missing county on current address

Hi – after searching this forms now I can see that the whole Garda vetting application being rejected due to the missing county is common. However, I can’t find anyone necessarily that has gone through this with their current address. I only have one Irish address - so the one missing the county- a...

Re: Expired visa in Ireland

Hi! I hope somebody could give me some advice. My situation is that my student visa (stamp 2) expired in December 2018. I’m in a relationship with a European who has been living for more than 10 years in Ireland. We have been together for 3.5 years and we live together for 2.5 years. We contacted a...

Re: Travelling close to expiration date?

Hi guys, Im thinking of travelling to thailand for 2 weeks return on the 26th feb 2025, and my irp will expire on the 18th march 2025. I generally have never had a problem coming back close to my card’s expiration date. I just wanted to confirm however, if i can apply for my new irp while travellin...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023/4

Am trying to contain my excitement because I was so disappointed last time. Presumably they’ll send invitations in at least 2 batches. But who knows? I really should stop speculating. I didn't make it to the last one but they did tell me that i will be included in the next one which is this. :D

Re: Feb 2024 Ceremony certificates?

While I’m pleased to see other ceremonies have been announced for other applicants, I find the announcement of them quite disrespectful to those of us still waiting for our certificates. They continue to make us wait for a single document we are owed since February, yet somehow have the resources t...

Re: Expiring IRP after attending Feb Ceremony

Should I be applying for IRP renewal and paying 300 or there are other options? They might not give you one as you're already a citizen. You can wait for certificate and hope it comes in the next few weeks (keep in mind first time passports take a month/2 months); if you don't get anything by then,...

Re: Feb 2024 Ceremony certificates?

As I was gathering evidence for them I came across this line in the ceremony invitation email we all rece...

Hi, thank you for your answer. As I see it I have 2 options : - Send a letter now. But I am worried that they just cancel my application due to the incorrect information provided. I would have to start all over again. - Just hold for them to find the discrepancy and provide additional details at th...

Re: Traffic offence omitted

Well, wrong turn is not considered as a conviction. However, you should have mentioned in the form. You can even do so now by writing a letter to the citizenship department explaining them the reason and hopefully it will be good. However, if you don't disclose now, then they might flag it as part o...
