Angell99 I have another question, please. I am currently in Ireland. I arrived a week ago. My wife’s status has changed to the point where she no longer works. Re: Investigation by Garda: what is the definition?

Hi all, I stumbled upon this question in the Naturalization application form: Are you, or have you been, the subject of an investigation in Ireland by AN GARDA SÍOCHÁNA (Irish Police), including where you were not charged with any offence? There was a minor road accident (slight bump on a traffic l...

Hi,

Yes you can re-enter Ireland with Stamp 4 while waiting for your final decision. It's just called temporary stamp 4 because that's not your actual permission you are entitled to.

Re: Schengen visa

Just make sure you don't use Germany as your point of entry. Apply for the Schengen visa at a different embassy and best don't add multiple destinations. Netherlands, France, Sweden, Austria or Portugal embassy/vfs will be the easiest.

Re: Travelling to Ireland with my mother (with “Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen”

First of all thank you a lot for trying to help me to get to the bottom of this! Sorry, for some reason I am unable to edit my last post. I have seen the EC page. It lists applicable laws but does not specify as to what happened and why there is a change in the regulations and all of a sudden the n...

Re: Advice needed: what happens to non EU family members if the EU citizen naturalises in the host country?

Thanks again!!! Two cents from my side: 1) my sister (a non EU citizen at the time) was also in Spain with a permanent card as a family member of an EU citizen. She had a child a few weeks after she got her permanent card. When we went to the immigration office to register the child, our request wa...

Re: Advice needed: what happens to non EU family members if the EU citizen naturalises in the host country?

Dear all, I’m an Irish national who has been in Spain for a long time for work. My mother is a non EU national (75 years old) and has lived with me in Spain for over 10 years and holds a permanent residence card as a family member of an EU citizen in Spain. If I were to naturalise in Spain, what wo...

Re: Travelling to Ireland with my mother (with “Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen”

Thanks Do you want regulations were introduced last year or this year that changed this? I checked the Commission’s webpage but it just recites the same old bits of legislation from years ago… I learnt over the years that it’s important to have any new regulations studied and printed as airlines of...

Re: Travelling to Ireland with my mother (with “Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen”

Thanks for your comment! Would you know as to when the change came about? What happened that Ireland chose to allow unaccompanied family members with EU Family cards to travel to Ireland on their own? PS: I don’t think my mother has any interest in moving away from Spain. Spain rocks :) Hi, Ireland...

If the person has not been outside Ireland for more than 3-6 months, He/She can include her expired stamp 3, with evidence for departing to her family abroad and use that to try and change her stamp with ISD.

Re: Doubt in visa changing process

No that's incorrect. Brazilians have a visa waiver to Ireland for 90days. Even if the person is illegal, so far as that person is married to Irish national, he/she can request for permission and register at the Garda Immigration office. It just won't be straightforward as just showing up at Garda t...

Sorry, so I am a bit lost now. Previously you said the following: My current visa is expired for awhile because I was in Brazil for family matters. Re: Re-entry to Germany with a permanent residence permit after 6 months abroad

I have the following question. I (German citizen) lived with my wife (Indian citizen) for several years in Germany. She has a 'Niederlassungserlaubnis' (permanent residence permit) from this time. We moved abroad in August 2023 to the UK. Usually the Niederlassungserlaubnis expires after 6 months a...

I complained to Solvit and European Commission.
In terms of immediate intervention, any other tools available?
The 2 bodies you mentioned are enough. You can also complain to your embassy about the passport.

Re: Shock and advice request: Lithuanian (Schengen) visa for family members of EU citizen

Hello everyone, I need an advice please. Despite us ask...
