Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I've just got an email from the citizen department (their November update) and they mention: "Additional Ceremonies We recognise the importance of giving applicants more opportunities to attend Citizenship Ceremonies to complete their naturalisation. So far this year we have held 10 ceremonies...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Hi everyone, I have a question about the correspondence that has been made on June 8th, quoted below: ***** "Stage 3: Final Stage Processing As we receive the results from eVetting we will progress files as quickly as possible. Delays will only occur if we have not received all the information ...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I have just sent my first (rather lengthy) email to a local TD about the need for these ceremonies given the recent amendments to the law and current backlog we have with the hope they raise this issue to the MoJ. I will wait a bit and give them time to reply. If they don't then I will move on to t...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Think it may be helpful if many of us who are still awaiting a decision writes to our TD for the need to push for naturalisation without the ceremony until at least the backlog is cleared. This seems to be a deliberate waste of resources and time. Well, I spoke with my solicitor about it, but she s...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Does anyone know or guess what would be the reason of delay from the full completion of eVetting until receiving the acceptance letter (e.e, the letter for 950 e)? In other word, do the they first check if all the documents are in order and happy with them and then send for eVetting? It is worth not...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

That is obviously a rhetorical question, but I just can’t see how they will do it as previously claimed by the department if they continue to force ceremony attendance to grant citizenship. With these kind of numbers that is at least another five or six ceremonies just to tackle the backlog, not in...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

At the ceremony now, asked about 20 people when they applied - everyone from 2021. So yeah, they seems addressing the backlog Sorry to ask but did you get any idea whether they were from early 2021 or late 2021? and also any indication of the next ceremony in 2023? My appologies for making traffic ...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

For all of the invitees to this ceremony: Congratulations. You all will finally, in 48h from now, be Irish citizens. You all deserve it, no matter how long or hard your journey has been. Ps. If anyone of you is willing to, could you at the ceremony ask if there are plans for more ceremonies in 2023...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I wouldn't consider it harsh - unfortunately, nobody reads the text unless it's in big bold letters, that's all. I know someone from January..2022 who is still not approved (and it's bizzare), so ISD might prioritize previous years now, hence no invite. Also search the email(s) you used for applica...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

What if my letter was sent and didn't recieve it for some reasons (lost in the post etc)?

There used to be an online system you could track your progress in the process of naturalization but I am not sure if that system exists?

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Anyone has ever received the approval letter (i.e., the letter asking you to pay 950e) by email? My eVetting results have been sent to Naturalization by Garda and it was disclosed by Naturallization in the middle of July and since then I have not heard from them. In a different email they told me al...

One of my friend who applied in this year Feb got invite for 2nd October. What a joke.
Sure is!!!
I also heard EU/UK citizens who apply for naturalisation will be prioritised so if you friend applied in Feb and got invited for Oct, then he/she is probablly be EU/UK citizen.

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I actually received the eVetting from Garda and provided all the old addresses, they checked that and sent the results to immigration office in middle of July. Then you need to wait for a physical (snail mail) letter of approval. It will take a while I'm afraid. I dont think if this is the case. Th...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I applied in Feb 2022 Received confirmation of eVetting completion in mid July I also received an email from them saying that we reviewed your application and we accept it to process it. Not sure "accept it to process it" means exactly? They havn't asked me to pay yet, so I suppose I am to...

Irish Naturalisation Ceremony October 2023

Hi all, I have completed all the steps of e-Vetting nearly 2 months ago and It is now more than 19months since I applied for naturalisation. Does anyone know if I get invited for 2nd of October Ceremony in Dublin? Today is 19th of September and still I have not got any invitation. Anyone else in a s...
