Re: Application for Ireland Citizenship on behalf of minor

Hi again, just wondering if anyone that has applied for citizenship on behalf of a minor in recent times could share a timeline (no feedback after a couple of months, not even the Garda vetting request), I thought this one would be quicker… Also, my child will turn 18 later this year and I’m hoping ...

Re: Children naturalization application

Hello,
Wondering if applying on behalf of minor that turns 18 in 6 months, I assume that the 200€ fee still applies even if process is naturalisation is granted after they turn 18 due to process delay?
And what about the exemption from the ceremony?

Thanks!

Re: Application for Ireland Citizenship on behalf of minor

Hi, I can now confirm that although birth certificate is not listed in the checklist that @Lenduha shared, when I tried to submit the online form with only certified copies of my child’s passport and my Irish citizenship certificate, and the school letter, an error message appeared and didn’t let me...

Re: Application for Ireland Citizenship on behalf of minor

Thanks for the response, and were all of those required or did you just volunteer them because you had them?
Just thinking the birth certificate will require a trip home…

Application for Ireland Citizenship on behalf of minor

Hi everyone, we got Irish citizenship via naturalisation and now we are starting the process for our child. When looking at the form and info on website, it seems that only documents to produce are the school statement of attendance and the copy of the biometric passport page to be validated by a co...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Hi there, I have more a “logistics” question regarding the ceremony: do they allow to access with travel bags or backpacks? My mother is visiting Dublin for the first time so we’re spending the night before in the city, however we do not have a place to leave any travel bags… any idea whether we cou...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

We paid fee in July but submitted in January this year, I know it’s early and there’s a backlog from previous years, but haven’t received the quarterly email either… what could be the cause? Quarterly email is sent to applicants who haven’t received decisions. If you already got approved, you won’t...
