betterme,

You are confusing yourself un necessarily...if you have qualified from outside eea then u need to sit ORE exam or you can temporarily work as an SHO upto max five yrs. IF ur eea qualified then you have no restrictions becz ur eea citizen. hope that helps

I walked through the consultation yesterday and cant find if tier 1 general is classed as permanent or temporary. I came to UK on 20 dec,06 with visa valid till 6 aug 07. I managed to find an other job and got visa stamped on 14 aug 07. So i have about 8 days gap between two visas.
