ILR success but BRP not returned—common practice?

Hi all Had a quick question for those of you who have passed ILR. Did you receive your existing BRP back on return of your documents? I didn't receive my Tier 1 BRP when my documents were returned and wanted to know if this was common practice. Basically I had a trip planned next week (which I may v...

ILR Success at Croydon PEO 28 Aug 2013, Tier 1 General

Hi all, Just wanted to give a bit of information about my recent success in transferring from Tier 1 (General) to Indefinite Leave to Remain. Background info: I have been in the UK since 2004, initially as a working holiday maker, transferred to a work permit in 2006, then Tier 1 General in 2007, an...

I am such an idiot! Thank you very much!

Using Safari now and it's fine. Don't know why I didn't think of it.

Best

Is the Electronic Diversity visa site working for anyone?!

Hi all I'm going through the motions applying online for the diversity visa but I'm having technical problems—every time I try to send information I get a document contains no data error. I've tried from different connections and different machines, firewalls turned off, etc. Does anyone else have...

That's a great help, thank you.

I'm not working at the moment, but am itching to, so hopefully they'll get onto the next batch of Tier 1s soon!

Again, thanks for the help people.

Best wishes

Sticky situation, WP to Tier 1

Hi all I'm in a bit of a sticky situation and am looking for advice. I've been in the UK for the past two years on a Work Permit, which has been great, and sent in my tier 1 application at the end of May with my passport. In the meantime I've lost my job, so therefore am not legally allowed to be in...

Updated times

Hi all

I called the home office today regarding the status of my application.
The cheque cleared on June 6th but according to the chap I spoke to everything past the 25th of May hasn't even been assigned to a case worker yet, so it looks like there's a bit of a wait to go...

Carriew: I've had no pickup at certain times also, usually around lunch. However, do you get through, hear a recorded message, and then hear a ringing tone? Keep on the ringing tone and eventually someone will pick up! They don't have hold music there for some curious reason. This is the number I've...

Hi Carriew I sent my application on the 29th of May, it was marked as received on the 30th and I only got my reference number via post yesterday (9th of June)! For your reference I paid with a cheque so that would have added a good three to five days or so, so I wouldn't stress too much about it. Th...

Hi push_hsmp Thanks for your quick response, maybe I will get some sleep in between now and when I hear from the HO! I'm sure it's more than likely just me being psychosomatic (if that applies in this case!) so I'll let everyone know how I go... Here's hoping that the case worker is a jolly mood whe...

Yet another Tier 1 maintenance query...

Hi all Firstly I want to thank all the members on this board for the information they've provided, information that I've gleamed whilst going through the HSMP process which then changed to the Tier 1 process while I was in the middle of it (!). Anyhow, I have sent off my Tier 1 application but upon ...
