I have gone through previous posts on this topic and I think having an expired passport is NOT a problem as long as you fulfill other criteria.

Thanks a lot Jambo and the other forum members who contributed on this topic.

A one month expired passport for your children should be OK to apply with. The passport doesn't need to be valid. Hi Jambo Thanks for your reply. My child s passport expires on 10 october and my wife becomes eligible only on 19 november. I agree UKBA asks only for a passport and birth certificate. ...

Eligibility for ILR

Dear all I am posting to get some advice regarding my eligibility for ILR (under the HSMP judiciary review) I applied for HSMP approval sometime around 3 rd april 2006. I think I posted my application before april 3rd april 2006 (probably 2 nd april) as I can see a cheque for that amount towards the...

No don't appeal. You will lose because it is a "correct" refusal under the rules. Unless you decide to challenge the law/rule by way of judicial review you are wasting your time. If you have managed to have a 3 months balance of £800 then you can reapply within 28 days of the refusal, bu...

re - hsmp extension

If your HSMP approval letter is not valid (issued within last 6 months) you have to pay 750 pounds. This applies even if you fill the new form (aplicable only for those who entered HSMP before Nov 2006). Hope this helps. GOod luck.

Honestly, it's not UKBA's problem if you decide to apply at the very last moment. I dont mean to antagonise your statement or hurt you. HO keeps changing rules often. Before the advice was to apply not before 4/5 weeks of visa expiry atleast for HSMP. Only now they are suggesting to apply asap. So ...

i think if you are applying from the UK and before 29 june you dont have to show the funds for 3 months. if it is there at the time of application then that should be okay. Look for transitional arrangements

and the duration of stay in the UK is more or less than 12 months and not 2 years

I thought so push_hsmp. Thats why I think the ECOs and HO dont care about making mistake. If we do a small mistake we pay a lot for that. But they are not pushed. I dont think eople even make a complaint against them. All these complaint system is to pave way for improving their own services. May be...

As said earlier you cant apply for any training posts - GP or any specialty. Consultants post are not training posts. Regarding dependents, as far s I am aware dependents of the new tier 1 system (if you are entering new) will have the same validity of visa for training post as the main applicant. r...

will HO bear losses if decision delayed due to their mistake

I am not able to see such an issue posted before. I read few people posting delay in their decision or even refusal of visa due to HO staffs mistakes. This delays them starting their job , paying for solicitors, reapply etc.,If these are appealed does HO bear the losses of the applicant. Has anyone ...
