Ahern and Hypocrisy

The Justice Minister seems to be persecuting Non EU spouses who have every legitimate right to be here while at the same time lobbying for the release of hardened criminals, the so called high and mighty. A number of serving cabinet ministers reportedly made representations to the Department of Just...

Re: stamp 4 in hand, what next?

Hi all, We have received stamp 4 instead of EU1, like everyone else and we want to write a letter to the DOJ to complain about the fact that it still takes them more than 6 months to answer our request to EU1. Does anyone have a sample letter of complaint to the DOJ? That would help us a great deal...

Incompetent DOJ and GNIB

Hi all, I find the above procedure not reasonable at all. The extra three months waiting before the application is accepted are illegal. Stamp 3 will not allow the spouse to work in the meantime. If DoJ/GNIB really need six months to determine if an EU4Fam-application is legitimate, then this is th...

Dear Mary, I refer to your recent email correspondence re: 7(1)(a) of SI 656 of 2006/ Article 9(2) of 2004/38/EC. It is unfortunate that you seem to have been given conflicting information. As regards the issue of when an applicant can apply for residency, I would like to provide the following clar...

How much do u need to earn as EU citizen for stamp 4(wife)

Does anyone know what a good yearly wage would be for a EU Citizen who wants spouse to join, by that what would be more favourable- some might say it dont matter but i doubt that- is 24k per annum, 40k or 60 k- is it a case of the more the better chance your spouse has.

Directive 2004/38/EC, Article 9(2) (in relation to administrative formalities for family members who are not nationals of a Member State) states: The deadline for submitting the residence card application may not be less than three months from the date of arrival. It would, therefore, seem perfectl...

stamp 4

Just to let people know, going with the Polish "Potwierdzenie zameldowania cudoziemca na pobyt czasowy" (option #2 from the original post) as a proof of prior EU residency was enough to get a letter (after 6 months) stating that the EU1 application is still being reviewed but, for the tim...

Hi ginger4pluck, I can say to you, based on my personal experience here, it takes a long wait to get a EU Stamp 4 (FAM), the waiting not even before because immigration department will hold a decision till the same day you start your process.
