Whenever that may be... It is truly unbelievable that they are this slow. And the most annoying is that I can't even complain yet, not until 3 June when the 6 months deadline is breached.

Re: Schengen visa with expired EEAFP and waiting for EEA2

Some embassies require proof of residence which you do not really have. I am not sure if they can really ask you for that as the application for a residence card is optional in the UK. You will have to contact them to see what they want. Thanks 86ti. You are right, the EEA2 is optional, so they can...

Schengen visa with expired EEAFP and waiting for EEA2

Dear all, My wife (Russian nationality) has applied for an EEA2 permit in December 2008. I am Dutch living and working in London. Because of these HO delays the EEA2 hasn't been issued yet and her original EEAFP has expired. We were thinking of going on a vacation to Russia this summer so that she c...

86ti: so you can send your EEA2 application without sending your passport untill they ask for it (maybe 6-7 month later)? Will HO issue the COA letter as well in this case? HO will issue the standard CoA. This is what we did (applied in December 2008). After 8 weeks my wife received her CoA. We are...

Re: EEA family permit to residence card - time issue

Your problem will be the airlines as they most likely want to see a valid visa of some form. They won't be able to check or accept any other documents. In principle she can apply for another EEA FP. But in Russia? That's what I'm afraid of. We had the same problem in Fiji when my silly employer in ...

Re: EEA family permit to residence card - time issue

My situation: I am Dutch, living and working in London. My wife is Russian and has joined me here in London 2 weeks ago on an EEA Family Permit. I have just posted the application for the EEA2 Residence Card today and expect it to be issued approximately 9 months from now, i.e. September 2009 (which...

Apply for EEA family permit when both not in Europe

Hi me and my girlfriend are planning to get married on Fiji in August this year. After the wedding we will be travelling through Australia (where we are currently living together) for 2 weeks, before moving to the UK. She will first visit her parents in Russia and apply for an EEA Family Permit in S...

EEA Family Permit and after

Hi I'm new here on the forum, but I have been reading it for the past few days. I am of Dutch nationality and my fiancee of Russian nationality. Currently we are residing in Australia and are planning to get married in Fiji later this year. After which we are planning on moving to the UK in Septembe...
