Thank you so, so very much for taking the time to write a full a detailed reply. The info is really helpful and puts my mind at rest, as all the various INIS emails get me quite anxious about what's going on, and if there's stuff I missed. Very best of luck with your applications! Finally, do we nee...

Are 2024 Citizenship Applications Now Being Delayed While They Clear the Backlog for 2022/23?

Hi guys, I'd be grateful if you could help me understand what's going on here. I applied start February 2024 for Irish naturalisation via the online INIS system as a UK citizen on the basis of 5 years' residency. 1) GARDA E-VETTING INVITATION At the start of May, I received an email saying that the ...

Re: Acknowledgement of Online Irish Naturalisation Application

Many thanks for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. I'm not at the stage of the eVetting - I applied online on 20 January 2024, and just got the automated acknowledgement that same day. But I understand there is supposed to be a second acknowledgement -- either asking for more paperwork, or ...

Thanks all for your useful and helpful advice. I filed my naturalisation application online on 20 January 2024 as a British Citizen on the basis of 5 years Republic of Ireland residency - with scans of notarised copies of UK passports and gas bills. I received the automated email acknowledgement on ...

Re: E-vetting when unsure about previous addresses

Thanks guys! This thread is actually really important. I have been stressing about listing "all addresses from birth" on the Garda e-vetting. I am a UK Citizen and have lived in Ireland continuously for 10 years, and applying for naturalisation on the basis of 5 years residence. I was born...

Re: Acknowledgement of Online Irish Naturalisation Application

Thanks a million. Very grateful to you for taking the time to reply.

I live in an apartment building with communal mail and letters that go missing, so had been worried about ISD letters getting lost. Very handy if they also write by email. Thanks

Acknowledgement of Online Irish Naturalisation Application

Hey guys, I submitted my application for Irish naturalisation based on 5 years residence as a British Citizen. I submitted it in January 2024 online under the new system "Irish Immigration Service Online". Do you know if under the new online system they acknowledge the application by email...
