Can claim only 115 points! So should I apply?

Hi Sleepyeyes,

Were you able to take the NAATI test? Can I ask how you applied and what were your results?

Am also interested in taking this suggestion, hoping to boost my points..

How is your application going?

Thanks :-)

Can anyone tell me about what they know of these states

Hi Peninsula and Christophe, Thank you very very much for your replies! I enjoyed reading through your discussion and this has certainly given me much insight. If we do qualify for a choice, then we would be happy to choose between either Queensland or Adelaide, given the things you have discussed h...

Hi Thinker,

Are you already in Australia? Or if still in process, how's your application going?

RE: SKILLED-SPONSORED MIGRATION TO NSW

Hi Imsocute, I think there may be other factors that may give you points.. If you're married, your spouse's qualifications can give you up to 5 pts I think.. I also heard (not 100% sure, someone may know more) that if you have knowledge of a minority language (I think Filipino is considered) this mi...

certifying the copies of original documents

Hi Imsocute Thanks for your reply :-) Nice to find someone from the Philippines too, here on the board :-) Right now, my papers are still with me. I've compiled -- so far -- all the documents I need. However, because my passport is expiring this December (and I'm going to visit Australia for a trip ...

For those who have successfully migrated (anywhere)

For those who have made that big move and migrated, can you share your stories? How were you able to develop friends and networks? (I heard that going to your church was a good idea to make new friends.. any other ideas?) How easy or hard was it to find places to live in? Are you free to choose any ...

SIR and PR

Hi friends, I would like to ask some questions about SIR and PR. Firstly what does SIR stand for? I am told that those who enter via SIR are not eligible for benefits, and you have to stay for at least 2 years in that area (live and work there). And that after 2 years, you are then eligible to apply...

Former SIR regional visa - 2nd stage

What was it like to enter Australia via SIR? I mean, did you get to enjoy any benefits and what were the restrictions (that you would have enjoyed as a PR)? And can you share how it was when you first moved into Australia via your SIR.... how did you manage to find a house, work, etc... I would love...

Migrating from US to Australia

HA HA HA HA ..... I can understand that! Well, give me the entire floor then and we'll move in faster than you can say Louvre. ;) Here where we come from, it's a fairly common reaction from people to think you're crazy to want to migrate to ___ (US, Canada, Australia, UK, etc), because here it is u...

Former SIR regional visa - 2nd stage

Hi Amila,

We are just in the beginning stage but I'm also curious to know the answer to your question...

Did you go through the SIR yourself? What is your status right now? I'm curious, because it seems that we're going under the SIR ourselves..

Thanks!

Migrating from US to Australia

Hi Dof, I like your thinking.... :-) It is good to see the world if you don't have kids yet... If you have the means, go for it while you're young. The older one gets, there is a tendency to stay put, because one gets very comfortable in their comfort zones :-) Do you have any idea where in Australi...

Can anyone tell me about what they know of these states

Hi all... I would love to hear what your thoughts are about the states you have chosen. Right now we are considering either Adelaide or Queensland. Does anyone here have any first hand experience of what it's like there... 1. How's the cost of living? 2. What's the transportation system like (for ne...

Migrating from US to Australia

Hi Dof, thanks for asking such an interesting quesetion, and thanks Thinker for the very insightful comments. I have a sister who is a permanent resident of the US already. Have several relatives who are also either permanent residents (a.k.a. Green Card) or citizens in the US... Some in Canada too....

What's the difference between the SOL and the MODL?

Can you be qualified under one but not the other?

Thanks!

Hi there.. I don't have any help to offer, but I do sympathize with you. My situation is different (but I have similar problems concerning certificate of employment). certifying the copies of original documents

Hi Oengin17 I'm new to the board, and like you, I'm just beginning to learn the ropes for the requirements in Australia. I would be interested to hear what anyone has to say about this. What has your agent said so far, about your Turkish documents? I am from the Philippines, and generally we have ou...
