Since my kids are in India, the high commission has asked to contact passport office in India .

Not sure how this is gonna turn out.

Mine is a bit weird place at the moment. I wish to go back to India. And my family will not be coming back. I'm going for OCI so that i can work in India and without renunciation, i wont get OCI.

I have written to Birmingham embassy and their response is "The matter of citizenship of minors has been taken up with the Ministry and decision on the same will be reflected in the guidelines for renunciation of Indian citizenship."
