Passport photos still required?

As of may 2024, do we still need to send 2 passport photos, signed on the back? And if so, do I just scan front and back? I’m confused, considering the whole application is online?

Thanks very much for your reply. I saw that thread and I was confused .. Birth certificate translated and certified in birth country

Hi all. First time posting as I’m about to start my application.

I translated my birth certificate in my home country and had it certified, is it still valid for my application? Or does it have to be translated here in Ireland?
