Sure, nowhere has perfect weather all of the time. Cairns is perfect for 7 or 8 months a year (but I would certainly try and go somewhere else over the wet season). SE Qld seems to have close to the ideal climate (at least so far as Australia goes) probably only challenged by central and north coast...
