For FBR it doesn't happen. It's only for ones gettign their cert via naturalization (in this case you do it at a ceremony).

You can just apply for a passport by post now.

Latest. Certificate arrived within a week of getting the Congrats email, so now off to apply for passport. Do they still require you to swear an oath of fidelity in person or can it be done remotely? Not that it is a problem as I want to see where my family lived in Dublin. So a nice wee city break ...

OK just got my "Congratulations" email. The whole process took 14 months and my certificate is in the post. I now need to order a passport online, is there a step by step process on here how to make sure I don't mess it up at this stage. I am living in Scotland and my grandfather was born...
