1) Identity and Passport Service . Thanks Vinny, I just called IPS at 0300 222 0000. The lady on the phone suggested that I should register the child as British Citizen before applying for Passport. I tried to fill the online appication form hoping that there will be a space for this. Unfortunately...

I went to PEO (Croydon) on 2nd July. I was told that my appointment was actually for 2nd June. The officer informed me that I called on 21st May for an appointment and that I was given one for 2nd June. I must have been lucky to get one within two weeks of time! (do not know who got this one wrong)....

Thanks guys.

I think the docs they were demanding are for someone who was in HSMP/WP combination.
I will take with me all I have, the significant one missing is 2008 P-60. But I have this year P-60 etc.

I will let you know how I got on after 2nd July.

Re: ILR under HSMP JR (by POST) successful - 2 weeks

Thanks toyguy. I just talked to HO about the docs I need to bring in for my premium service appointment next week. She insisted that: 1) Pay slips for all four years 2) Banks statements for all four years 3) P-60 for all four years. I do not have bank statements for 2005/06. I can't locate my P-60 f...

Re: SET(O) application for18yr old dependent?

Either answers to these questions are quite obvious, or I have posted in the wrong place. Could please someone give me some pointers? bbkaran My friend has just qualified to apply for ILR under HSMP JR. His daughter is 18+ year old but studying in India. What would be her status of the daughter once...

SET(O) application for18yr old dependent?

My friend has just qualified to apply for ILR under HSMP JR. His daughter is 18+ year old but studying in India. What would be her status of the daughter once he applies and obtains ILR for himself and his wife and son? When can she be eligible for ILR? Does she have to come and live here for minimu...

The links mentions a "one-off" payment. Does anyone know how much is this? For those who had to apply for a 2nd extension last year, you can now send in application for refund. See links: http://www.hsmpforumltd.com/hsmpilrjrfaqs.html http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier1/...

Sadly, I am not sure whether that link is valid anymore. See this: http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/ukresidency/waitingtimes/ Thanks for this. Is this the final say on waiting times? I wanted to believe the "four weeks" waiting period and preferred not to telephone HO everyday at 9am. Now...

My reading of the ILR JR is that we do not need english language and life in the UK certificates. Could anyone please confirm? Also do we need to take our dependents to PEO on the appointment date? Re: Is anyone sorry that they moved here?

True. no guarantees in life. Especially if you are a HSMP immigrant from a non-european country. The point is no amount of regret is gonna change the past, if anything will only increase one's stress level. The best way course of action IMHO will be to look to future and decide where to move on fro...

Re: Is anyone sorry that they moved here?

The UK alone did not force you to be here in the first place...it was YOUR decision...not theirs. You are kind of forced to be here. You came in becasue you were promised in wrinting certain status. To prove your commitment you had to give up everything you had in your home country. Now you can't g...

Re: Is anyone sorry that they moved here?

I'm starting to feel that way. Is this the only country that changes rules retrospectively? Well, there are no gurantees in life and the world is not fair. So the best things is not having regret but pat yourself in the back that you did give it the best shot and move on. Life itself is not gurante...

You are kind of forced to be here. You came in becasue you were promised in wrinting certain status. To prove your commitment you had to give up everything you had in your home country. Now you can't go anywhere and you are forced to live here. Makes sense? No one can "see" his future. If ...

HSMP on 1+3 category.

Hi, I entered the country on HSMP issued in Feb 2005. I have extended my HSMP visa for Three more years in Feb 2006. I want to apply for extension before Xmas this year. My questions are: 1) Can I apply around November 2008? Would it be too early to apply? 2) How much do I pay fees, 350? or 700 GBP?...
