ILR 5 Year Partner Route- Sponsor Working Abroad

My Vietnamese spouse came here on the 5 year route in Jan 2012 and is eligible to apply ILR in January 2018. I have been offered a chance to work in UAE which I would like to take as its a great opportunity. The problem is the job will start in 3 months but my wife is 6 months away from being able t...

Re: Credit rating against Immigration application

My understanding is that if you pay in full within 28 days of a ccj then no record will be made. If you don't pay in full within 28 days then yes it's recorded on your file for 6 years.

Safest way is pay up before the court date.

Is my son a British Citizen?

Just been reading up about qualifying for British citizenship and realised my son even though he is a British passport holder may not actually meet the requirements. Basically he was born in 2005, I'm his father and have lived in the UK all my life however his mother is from the Philippines and she ...

KET Still Valid??

My wife took the ESOL KET exam for her initial entry into the UK back in 2012, we will be applying for her FLR(m) extension later this year and I am aware that the English language approved test have changed but from my understanding if it was taken before April then it is still valid is this correc...

Re: FLR(M) Extension length

Sorry my mistake, yes she will have completed 30 months in July but her vis is valid till October. So we wont run into any issues if we apply in July? Out of interest if you do the regular service when do they date the extension? from the date they actually issue it or the date of you previous expir...

Re: FLR(M) Extension length

Why would she be short and need a further extension? she will have completed 2.5 years as of 25th of July as she entered the UK on 25th Jan 13. Her original Visa was granted for 33 months. Does she need to have fully completed 60 months prior to applying ILR (hence needing 61 months of visa) or can ...

FLR(M) Extension length

Hi Can anyone tell me under the new rules how long FLR(m) extensions are granted for? Also I have read the notes on when to apply and all it says it to apply before current visa expires. My wife will have completed 18 months (half way) by mid July but her first entry clearance has until October to r...

Re: 5 Year Route Extension

Can you tell me where this info is because on the guidance notes for form FLR-M which is the form used for the extension it only states "5. When to apply You and any children under 18 applying with you should apply before the end of your/their permitted stay in the UK." Also the original V...

Re: 5 Year Route Extension

Does anyone know if the extension is also for 27 months? I guess there isn't anyone around yet who has this extension, and when it comes to applying for settlement at the end of 5 years will you have to have completed 5 years in UK before you apply? or will you be able to apply 28 days before your 5...

Re: 5 Year Route Extension

This is what is in the guidance notes "25. WHEN TO APPLY You and any dependants applying with you should apply before the end of your/their permitted stay in the UK. We encourage you to apply 28 days before the expiry date." But has zero info on how early you can apply, pretty useless real...

5 Year Route Extension

Wife came here in January 2013 under the rules that came in in July 2012 (5 Year Route) she got issued with the 33 month visa that expires October 2015. Whats the earliest she can apply for the extension? seems to be a significant lack of information on the official website. Have read as long as les...

I also doubt that your employment would make it "easy" for you and your wife to emigrate. Im curious why you made this statement as I know lots of nurses who have migrated from the UK to the US on the basis of there jobs, they had all visa fees payed by the agencies with no upfront costs ...
