Congrats but why should my answer change. In 2-3 weeks you will know if your employer is taking any steps, if you are in a key role then they will want to retain you but you need to plan for future if you need to stay in UK hence start searching for a job, if you get a good one then jump till then s...

Hmmm, last 4 years I am in UK in IT as an Senior Architect with above 50K per annum. Don't worry, Thanks. Whats funny is that the job market will be completely unimpressed with your educational credentials when you get here so don't let the high score lull you into a false sense of security or belie...

Your company will not know the switch unless 1. Verification happens with your company during Tier-1 by HO (its optional) 2. You have sent your passport or its copy after getting Tier-1 Visa If your WP is getting over then your company might have the list of people who need extension and request you...

I just wanted to make sure that it will not cause any problems when I will actually travel to UK from India. I was also guessing that it should not cause any problem as I am traveling after validity date only but just wanted to confirm. My plan is to go to UK, search a job and then work there. Ok c...

Re: Tier 1 approved, need some information

If you have Tier-1 it doesn't mean that you can't travel abroad/home country. Moreover travelling in Sep or next year is after validity date, isn't it. Anyway you have no choice. What kind of problem you think you would have. If you are planning for ILR and vacation abroad for more than 90 days then...

Re: Should Employer know our Visa Type WP or Tier-1 or HSMP

Just because some employers don't like employee switching to HSMP/Tier-1 and they make sure the employee is sent to offshore as soon as they know about it. So you will not have enough time to try/get a new job and hence from abroad you need to try for a job which is not same as trying in country. Ba...

Thanks, The problem is you need to get a job before they ask you to move offshore that too if your WP is running out say in one month time. See the UK BA website. It is an offence for an employer to knowingly employ someone who cannot work legally in the UK. If your WP visa is running out, they may ...

Yes I am In-Country. I am not sure how true is that, may be more people can confirm the 7 days stuff. Assuming that is true, is the last transaction date considered or the actual date of the statement printing/creation considered for the 7 days calculation. Is it true for In-Country too? A word of ...

Anyway even if there is a delay of 7 days, apply after that or send the duplicate statement & HSBC letter after you have submitted the application as it takes more than 3-4 weeks to assign a case worker now a days. If you apply with a statement older than 7 days, your application will be refuse...

I got the statements myself. The authorization is required only if some one else (e.g. friend) is taking your statements on your behalf. I called up HSBC and they said this. You can always authorise a person to collect on your behalf but only by providing a letter signed by you. I couldn't send a l...
