I think you should try applying to British consulate as your visa is valid legally right..and they will give you a new visa

It will be the same case when people loose their passport and have to apply for visa etc again..check what docs you will need

Good Luck! Was wondering how many attempts you are allowed ...I havent given it yet but just worried if someone fails on the first attempt - can they give it again? Will that be a problem?

I was initially on it and before my company manged to get WP - I had to go to India for 4 months - though was still an employee for them - will that be ok ?
