If your degree and univ appears in the qualification and english requirement section of the PBC you dont need any other certificate or proof. Just submit your original degree certificate, This will suffice for both your qualification and your english language requirement

if your qualification and univ appears in the English Requirement section of the points based calculator you dont need any other proof or certificate to confirm that it was taught in English. YOu only need to submit your Original Degree certificate.

The bank statements that i submitted did not have the employer name. They just mentioned : <Name> Salary <Month> and <Year>. And two of my bank statements just had my name. I got Tier 1 based on this. I think they just match the figures between the two proofs that you submit for the salary

you have to have 800 £ on every single day for the last 3 months in a bank. if the balance has gone below £ 800 for even 1 day they will reject the application

It varies from application to application. straightforward ones shud take about 3-4 weeks. Other take around 6-8 weeks. But some of my freidns got earlier as well

The UK border agency number is 0114 207 4074. ( if you have applied from within the UK). You have to be very patient as the waiting times can be long. Also they dont give much info on the phone and it is not 100 % correct. The best option is to just wait. Avg time is 6-8 weeks. Calling them will not...

Original Bank Statements dont need to be Stamped and Signed. They are sufficient proofs. However you need to make sure that the proof of Maintenance funds is not older than 1 month

Mention the date and year which is mentioned in the degree as the year of passing. Degree can be awarded late , but the year of passing does not change. It should match with what is written in the degree.

You have to submit original.
And they will not give you the passport before the visa ( takes about 7-8 weeks). You only get it if there is an emergency. Travel plans , job joining is not considered to be an emergency. Read the guidelines on the website (home office)

Dont worry. I called the UK Border agency. They said that they give a grace period of 21 days. They will accept old forms till 21 days after 08/08. Hence there is no problem

HI Does anybody know ir has anybody done this in the past : Have an Indian Savings account with ICICI and recieved the bank statements but got them stamped and signed by going to ICICI branch in UK. OR taking print outs of transactions on Indian account and got them stamped and signed from ICICI UK....

They are just interested in the Start Date and the end date. I think giving the dates wrong could cause problems if they start verifying things.
