you don't qualify under the immigration rules to switch into a spouse category, because as others have correct posted, your wife is not settled in the UK (she only has limited leave not ILR) however this is a developing area in terms of case law and the courts have stated that the immigration rules ...

You can't switch to tier 4 in country because you were not last given leave as a post study worker but as a dependent of a post study worker.

You also can't study a part time course on a tier 4 visa.

The qualifying date is the date you entered the UK. The embassy should have issued you with a visa for 27 months to give you time to come to the UK and complete the 2 years before the expiry of the visa. It depends on when your visa expires compared to when you entered the UK as to whether you have ...

don't have any experience of this team. number i have for them is 020 8196 4664 and fax 020 8196 3389 however this is the same number for CRTS7.

i also understand that UKBA were due to change these numbers over the spring so you may find the numbers no longer work.

I would suggest calling the court again to make sure the UKBA has not renewed the application for permission to appeal. Assuming they haven't, you should contact the UKBA department who were responsible for making the decision on your case and ask them to implement the decision. First you should cal...

UKBA don't like to give information over the phone particularly about decisions. I wouldn't necessarily read anything into it. They could post you the decision or they could also serve it on you when you next go to report. As you're from Ghana, the UKBA could 'certify' your asylum claim as clearly u...

jei2 is correct - she needs to apply for SET(DV) as long as she is on a two year spouse visa, can show that she was living with her husband prior the breakdown of the marriage (i.e. letters addressed to her/them at the address etc) and that the marriage broke down due to domestic violence. She does ...

Naturalisation is not required. the child is British by birth as s/he was born in the UK after 1 July 2006 to a British father. The Secretary of State must be satisfied that you are the father, the easiest way is if you are on the birth ceritificate i fnot you can take a paternity test. If you can s...

I think that under the current guidance on CofA, UKBA cannot refuse your application to marry, as basically what you need to show is that you are in a genuine relationship. The fact that you have children is clearly almost definitive evidence of this. Before the Baiai caselaw, in which the court of ...

You would be granted Discretionary Leave, not a spouse visa. I very much doubt that your child would be asked to leave once she reaches 18 if she was granted DL with you, but if it is possible to go back to your country to apply for Entry Clearance and if you meet the criteria under the Immigration ...

Hi Samyr You are right that Somalia does not have an embassy in the UK therefore if you qualified for a certificate of travel you would not have to show that you had tried to get a Somali passport before applying for a Certificate of Travel. The problem as Mr Rusty has said is that you don't have IL...
