I didn't have any problems, am back in the US again now though only visiting again, just didn't mention that I was married and they didn't ask many questions. Then not only did you not get married the honest and legal way that everyone else has to do when marrying an foreigner in America, you didn'...

Apply for the fiance visa (K-1), asap if you would like to stay with him in the US for part of the pregnancy and the birth and post-birth, as it is a lengthy process and can take anywhere from 5 to 12 months to be approved, even longer if you do not file correctly the first time. You will be allowed...

Will you be working while there? If so your employer should provide health insurance, at an extra cost to you of course. Your insurance will list GPs and clinics in your area that are covered. If not, I don't believe walk in clinics take anyone without insurance unless you have the money up front to...

And one more thing, you will not be able to legally work on a fiance visa. It is designed to give you 90 days in the country to marry legally. Then you must apply for work permits and residency. Big hassle and not something I would recommend if your heart is not truly in it for the right reasons. Co...

Only option is a fiance visa. However no offense, but you're not going to like to hear this. I am American and my husband is Irish. We are truly in love and are 100% committed to each other, forever. We went about getting married the right and legal way and will most definitely go about gaining his ...

When you have your interview upon her petitioning you to come to the states as her spouse, they will see you 'cut in line' when getting married. I wanted to go this route with my husband who is Irish, the fiance visa mess was all too complicated for us and extremely pricey, with both time and money....

Re: Marriage on holiday

You cannot marry on a tourist visa. If you apply for residency once you have done so, your application will be denied on grounds that you did not enter the country to visit, you came here to get married. You must first apply for a fiance visa which can take some time to get approved and you have 90 ...

Re: complicated situation...

US immigration has failed again. Makes it so hard on the honest ones and the sneaky people always slip thru, not fair.

Last time I checked for my husband to move back to the US with me was an initial fee of $344 but there are multiple applications and fees you need to pay. This website has been very helpful for me.

Re: Finding a job in USA

Hi there, I'm from Utah and I would say your best bet is to put your resume on monster.com or check out craigslist.org. I'm also sure there are plenty of temp agencies there where you can at least get your foot in the door somewhere, especially with your qualifications. Also look in local news paper...

That is just what I have begun to do, I haven't been letting employers know my visa status and I know there's a lot of controversy going on with making it extremely hard to get visas renewed sometime this year. I will definitely rewrite my CV letting employers know my visa status, thank you.

Re: Is it my accent???? Update on stamp 4

Yes I have changed it to his, would not like to mention it for privacy reasons but not really sure it sounds all that irish. I'm sure on my CV they see I'm american because all my work experience and history is from the US. I'm at a loss!

GNIB giving us confusion about Stamp 4, help!

So my fiance called the local GNIB to see EXACTLY what I need to bring to get a stamp 4 being a US citizen. They said the marriage cert (of course), our passports and I have to have proof of medical insurance. I'm a little confused about the last one since I have read no where that medical insurance...

Re: What should I tell Passport Control when I come?

Hi pauliesgirl, I posted a comment for you on the other topic you made before. (Please see down below) A friend of mine showed the appointment/approval form from the registrar at the passport control, and they welcomed her. Once you have Stamp4 (even stamp1) and you are non-visa reuired national , ...

What should I tell Passport Control when I come?

Ok, I've posted a couple times on here before about getting married in Ireland, which has been approved (more than 3 months in advance) and also having questions about the stamp 4. My newest question/worry is, being a US citizen, when I come into Ireland next month to get married, without my fiance ...

Question on stamp 4 and D Spouse Visa...Help please!

Ok, I'm a US citizen. My Irish citizen fiance and I have been approved by the Irish marriage registrar to be married in Ireland this March. My question is, what is the quickest way for me to be able to live and work in Ireland with him ASAP? If I researched correctly, it'll take 14-16 months to proc...
